GOD the bruise from those benches yesterday is hurting like hell…
Today’s reading feels like it’s warning me to be careful with those moment where I’m like “I’m gonna push myself unnecessarily because I deserve to treat myself dang it”.
Good reminder, especially in vacation time.

In the continuing speedrunning of signs of stress, I’ve jumped to the part where my right ear gets inflammated.
Honestly the problem isn’t even that specifically but the fact that feeling my ears clogged makes me panic for some reason and if I lay on my right side the pressure makes the ear feel thus clogged.

Plan today was exploration. Especially checking the castle thing closer up, but also justn walking around the area in general. The weather helped towards that because it was overcast only over the sun so it was warm and crisp but without the sun on full blast.

I had Yakisoba in a nearby restaurant, it was a very festival/beach kind of flavor. The restaurant was also very quaint, it even had dog-eared volumes of One Piece in case you brought any hyperactive kids with you.

Turns out the castle has no entry. I went all around and couldn’t find a gate. Only service-looking doors. Mind you I suck at finding things but even if there’s no entrance it’s still one hell of a view all across the bay here.

I then went to check “Wai Wai Beach” which I kept seeing. It’s mainly a wharf, apparently a boat with clear bottom so you can see underwater parts from here but it wasn’t there when I went.

Continuing to walk in that general direction one ends up at the actual Shigira Beach that gives name to the whole area. It’s basically the one beach with sand and umbrellas and all of that instead of a collection of sharp rocks and whatnot.

By now it’s squarely the Resort area, apparently there’s a golf course, and even a lift like the kind for ski to basically move you from the bottom of the area to the top. It wasn’t operative sadly.

Further walking and-… okay it wasn’t a hole this time but it was still a path to the side.

I love these types of volcanic rocks… even if they’re hell on my feet. even with shoes on.

I decided to head back aaaaaaand I got lost again. It’s the “you think you’re going in a straight line but then you go on a straight line and end up elsewhere” things from yesterday again. I was shocked that I made it near the construction I keep noticing uphill.

Now THAT’S a hole… okay it’s just a path nobody goes through but lemme tell you that first glimpse before you see that the pavement is just covered by leaves was exciting.

I treated myself to a nice course meal sushi and it was worth the price definitely. In fact I don’t have more pics of the other dishes because they vanished no sooner they were presented to me.
The green thing in the third photo is called Umibudou and it’s supposed to be a type ofseaweed, but what’s funny is that the name translates to “Sea Grape” and I grew up in a house with an Uva de Playa tree which apparently is translated in english as Sea Grape also (rather than the more direct Beach Grape). Those are, predictably, more of a berry than seaweed.
Oh also, I did the mandatory posting of an old video.
I got a lot of wanderlust out of my system today, so hopefully tomorrow is more low-key and I focus on packing up to leave.
