The name is misleading because I’m not going to the event itself, and today isn’t even an event day… but you can only write “Tokyo Trip” as a title so many times.
Today’s reading indicates that things are finally moving along, being unstuck, and boy are they ever.

Day started slow because with all the stress and tension released, I was glued to the bedsheets for a while.
I killed some time choosing which girl to bring with me. While I’m foreseeing I won’t have much time to take photos, I feel like if I don’t bring her along I’m gonna have a “see? the one time I don’t bring one along the perfect chance arises” sort of moment.
I ended up choosing Tama more from an outfit that fit her being what I had closest on hand.
I also decided to send the salaries for this month before leaving the house and it’s amazing how I can have a Bank Moment back to back in different countries.

I log in and it tells me “forced password change, fuck you”. Then after remembering which password I used and fighting for it to approve the new one (can’t be repeated, can’t have symbols, can only be up to 12 characters) I press submit…
…and it takes me to the OPTIONAL trimonthly password change screen.
Sure, fuck it, why not at this point.
I was ready to finally go out of the apartment when I remembered I put in a pickup order for some oversized trash tghat’s gonna happen while I’m out so I dragged the old shelves out before leaving.

Then as I’m waiting for the shinkansen I get an email from the other bank, finally acknowledging that the account is unlocked and apologizing.
So that’s that… for NOW.
I did feel like that was something worth celebrating, though. So I made plans to go to a bar once I made it to Tokyo.

There’s this bar called Kowloon Cyber Tokyo Yushima Yugi Bar (九龍電脳東京湯島遊戯酒吧) though I call it “kowloon bar” for short.
As the story goes, Sato-san, the owner, is a VA-11 Hall-A fan and you can actually see it on a screen inside the bar… but honestly, even if that wasn’t the story, it’s a cool bar with neon signs, screens everywhere, and a lot of retro games. While I was there there were groups of office workers playing Mario Kart.
As for me? I did make small chatter with the girls serving the drinks, but I shit you not I was having a blast just watching the screen where they had ads for old games playing.
This isn’t the place for me to talk about my love of good advertisement and the travesty that youtube ads are though.
I did have a funny moment where I was looking for my meishi when I told one of the girls that I made “that game of the screen over there” only to find… the case with my meishi for doll stuff.
I’m a professional I swear.

This trip is gonna be shorter than my usual fare, I might actually plan a second trip near the start of October to add to this one. But it’s a very social sort of trip, so that balances things out.
