I tried the Pokemon Go Plus Plus and I was shockingly pleased

Today’s deck is the Herbcrafter’s Tarot.

It’s always interesting to see which interests intersect in tarot decks. Things like this have a higher chance of being good decks than say… nerdy IP ones.

Which is to say, good deck!

Today’s reading reflects a sense of a sense of being left out not really changing no matter how hard I try.

I have a suspicion the cards are basically picking onto the stray things in my brain since it is otherwise empty from exhaustion lately.

You’d think that being tired as I was I’d fall asleep fast.

You’d think.

You’d also think that being as tired as I was would make sleeping easier yet here we are.

I slept like hell in short, but I was shocked that the Pokemon Go Plus+ did track my sleep.

So the way it works is that you put it on your bed, somewhere stable, and press the button until Pikachu sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to you, then you just leave it there and where you wake up you press the button for a couple of seconds again and it plays the tune of when a Pokemon Center heals your pokemon indicating the time ended.

I didn’t know what to expect but I’ll be damned it actually tracked shit like “you were in deep sleep for this long and not for this long”. Apparently it tracks the bed movements so I assume it’s not as precise as say… a smartwatch with access to your vitals but it sure is more comfortable than sleeping with something on your wrist.

Also, while I can do without the lullaby when the session starts (thankfully one press of the button skips it), I am mad at how effective the wake up chime is. Even outside of the flavor just the fact that the LED of the thing glows juuuust bright enough to not be a flashbang and how soft the tune is, it’s one hell of a help in getting out of bed.

As you might expect from all the grumbling I’ve done about getting out of bed, however, today has been a very low energy day.

I wasn’t the only one grumbling though, throughout the day my stomach kept making worrying noises.

Nothing hurt thankfully, but it was a very “you’re not supposed to make that sound” moment.

I did take a walk in part because, again, new toy; I wanted to test the dang disc while doing some groceries. But also, I know myself well enough to be wary of being too cooped up. Even in the aftermath of last trip when I spent a solid week mostly indoors I still made sure to at least go out and buy food and whatnot.

Speaking of food, I came from the trip with this crazy craving for salad, greens specifically. I bought a bunch of prepacked lettuce mixes at the supermarket yesterday and I’ve gone through like… 3 per day.

Whatever my body is missing I hope is getting replenished. Is it the cause of the stomach noises, though? I doubt it, with the lack of any discomfort it’s probably just how I didn’t have proper scheduled meals while out.

I might have a sleep schedule of pure chaos, but my body is nonetheless very particular about how long it’s been since waking up and eating.

Also it feels like my android phone keeps randomly shutting down more and more as days go by, I might need to consider getting a new one. But that’s a problem for later.
