Today’s deck is the Sufi Tarot.

I am regrettably not that familiar with Sufism, my biggest exposure to it has been… whatever mishmash of it Dune used. I’m always up for filling in blank spaces in knowledge though so that’s definitely going into the list of stuff I might wanna learn about.
Today’s reading is saying to reconsider what I consider monetary balance. The first thing that came to mind was how I didn’t pay for a lawyer in past years to handle my visa, and this year… well, you’ll see.

You know, here’s something that’s been on my mind for a while: I find Nikke exhausting. I don’t even really hate it, it’s in that same vein as Azur Lane where even if I don’t play the game I enjoy everything that people make as a result of its existence, but in a weird way… it’s too horny in a very tiring way.
Now, some of you might be screaming at the screen “Fer, you’re the textbook definition of Horny on Main, what the fuck are you talking about?”, so let me explain.
There’s this certain type of Guy you see online that’s obsessed with main characters that canonically Fuck. They were around back in the day pointing at Tenjo Tenge and Gantz and how the main guys in those have fucked, and I still see them nowadays adjacent to things like Uzaki Wants To Play.
While I understand the undercurrent of “there’s so much sweaty hand nonsense going on please God make something actually happen for once”, this type of Guy in question can honestly border on creepy sometimes and in the end it’s like… they’re like the kind of person that gets frustrated when Frieren or any other shonen like Macadamia doesn’t go deep into geopolitics and socioeconomic analysis, except the horny version where it’s like… what you want exists you’re literally trying to find it in the wrong place, though.
Nikke carries that energy, of “you sure talk big talk for a game that has to hide cleavage in ads behind mist like a coward”. Where it keeps having that “oh everyone most definitely fucks” element while being stuck in a format where they cannot Show Hole.
In contrast to that, I don’t find Azur Lane as exhausting on that front because while it too is in a chicken race to see how far they can take things, they don’t go that extra half step into having pretenses of People Fucking, they stop at the girls throwing the invitation but not having a vibrator as part of the design or something like that.
Blue Archive, meanwhile, is made for the kind of people that saw the Nintendo Direct where they gave Pyra and Mythra pantyhose and started breathing very heavily, but that’s a completely different topic.

Anyway, today started with a Not Hellish email for a change. My visa renewal has finished and the lawyer will send me the envelope so I mail my stuff to him and he can send me the new card back.
Which means this year I’ve completed the process without needing to go to the inmigration building and I cannot convey in words how much of a relief that is.
I’m not expecting more than one year because there’s some ongoing paperwork still, but I don’t mind, I’m kinda resigned to getting one year until I can apply for permanent residence. Dunno, that’s just the more Fer path for things to take, really.
The rest of the day has been me sorting out my place so not much to report there except for one thing.

The sudden realization of how many hangers I have.
