Today’s deck is the Vision Quest Tarot.

I’m not familiar enough with the Native American stuff to tell you how on point it is, but I CAN tell you that it’s very legible when it comes to card meaning.
Today’s reading is advising that the key to a good balance is basically to act like you own the place. In other words to not let anyone step on your toes.

I might be sore beyond recognition, but I keep on trucking regardless.
The guest room has been cleared, but the aftermath is that the kitchen is clogged with newly-filled trash bags.
N was reminding me that if friends are staying over they mainly want something LIVABLE rather than fancy, and while I’m keeping that in mind, it’s also just a general excuse to motivate myself, honestly.

After like almost 12 hours of cleaning and sorting I dragged my ass to the airport. Nothing too eventful there, thankfully.
My brain is fried and the only other thing that happened was me picking up my friend and pushing my sleep until 7PM, so let me leave you with a minor bit of trivia.
I’m sure most of you have heard of Telenovelas, AKA Latin American Soap Operas. The name translates directly as “TV Novels” and there’s a funny reason they’re called that.
Basically in Cuba the cigar plants would have a lot of women working, and to both entertain them during the dull task and prevent idle chatter, they’d have someone read aloud a novel. Which also worked since illiteracy was rampant.
Hence when they started broadcasting people playing those novels but on TV they became Telenovelas.
That reminds me of how my mom would watch the first few chapters of one of them and then only tune back in when the ads were like “ON ITS FINAL CHAPTERS!!”.

They remained on their final chapters for like 6 months so maybe they were just trying to get the attention of people like my mom.
