Today’s reading conveys a general exhaustion about fearing that I won’t be able to provide for others which, YEAH, I’ve been a broken record about that.
Here’s a funny update on the bank situation. I called the bank because I know those bitches well enough to know I gotta ask them directly how the shit is going.
Last week I sent them the authorization for the final money transfer with all my shit in a PDF and the bank information on a txt file.
When I call today, apparently they were gonna get on it on Friday but they couldn’t open the file with the info.
They couldn’t open a fucking txt file.
I don’t know what I expected from the bank that blocked my account at one point because a PDF they generated with their new system was corrupted and that was my problem for some reason.
E explained to me that it’s probably a safety measure and… yeah, as anyone that tinkers with computers on the regular knows, txt files can be devious bitches. But also I wonder if they’re aware of the optics of “we couldn’t open a txt file”.
So during the call I was like “hold on, don’t hang up. I’ll be sending you the info on a separate email”, so I opened the email, opened the txt inside the email, copied the info and pasted it in a new message while in the middle of the call just to rub it in their faces but also to get shit moving along dear God.
This happened by like 6PM or so, though. Earlier than that I was sorting things around the house and to my delight I managed not only to consolidate the contents of three containers into one (between throwing things out, boxing to sell, and putting in a drawer and such), but I went from a tower of containers of dolls clothes into said clothes being in neat drawers MOSTLY categorized.
By “mostly” I mean that there’s specific categories like “swimsuit” and “school uniform” but then there’s vague ones like “kinda skimpy” and “costume”.
After the txt debacle I winded down trying to finish The Awakener. I finished one run yesterday but then the game is like “collect three pieces of grail for the final trial”. So I did and the final trial in question is… an epilogue screen, no new fights.
I’m not even really complaining. The game is good for what it is so not having a deep story isn’t really an issue. Those weird gaps are fun to analyze though.
The hot anime elf chick in particular is something I can’t stop thinking about because she’s so out of place. Skimpy elf with big boobs in a game full of Armored Sad Swordsman types, so deliberately out of place that she feels like she’s supposed to be the main character.
Not to mention she’s the only one so far with alternate skins and unless there’s something really mixed up in the super rough translation it has, there’s implication that she’s related to the hot anime guy that’s the final boss probably in some way? She also gets a shiny emote when you select to play as her.
By the way having this sort of hot chick fighting with dudes twice her size, many of which are orcs, made my brain act up in really funny ways when the expected consequence never happened.
