Stop Fire Cloth

Today’s deck is the Lorenzi Tarot.

I really dig the illustrations in this one. They’re very surreal and I’m a sucker for surrealism.

Today’s reading is speaking of celebrating all the creative energy flowing lately.

I am awake and heading to the doll event finally.

The weather is absolute ass but that won’t stop me, dang it. It does mean that any plan to go elsewhere later has to be reconsidered though.

The event was fun all around, a lot of hisashiburis all over the place. The attendance was surprisingly high considering, as I said, that the weather is Ass.

One nice detail was one of the staff asking me which one were my girls and them recognizing them because of the posing.

I appreciate that already as a “you have a style” sort of thing, but especially so because I do always analyze and practice posing the girls.

Next one will be on the 18th and will be new year-themed. Which does beg the question of what I’ll do (if anything) to make it horse-themed.

Because zodiac y’know.

After the event was done I did a bit of… circling around I guess? I dropped the girls and camera at home, then I went out to pick up a box at Yodobashi Camera. The box proved too heavy and things were gonna close so I left it in a coin locker and did groceries. Then came back and lugged the box back home.

After returning I chilled around while on voice chat with E. We shot the shit while I figured out how the new dresses I was giving the girls even worked.

Then we watched Eight Crazy Nights again, but here’s the twist: We watched it syncing it up with Dark Side of the Moon.

Yes, like the Wizard of Oz thing, but here’s the kicker: It works upsettlingly well.

It’s not just “oh the motion kinda syncs up” no, I’m talking the actual plot beats and even some of the actions sync perfectly.

There’s the whole scene where they flashback to the day the Adam Sandler character found out his parents died, it happens EXACTLY when one of the interludes that’s all heartbeats happens.

The first viewing was all snark and fun, but this time around I was just transfixed at how well, how upsettingly well it syncs up.

What a way to end the say, lemme tell you.
