Today’s deck is the Campfire Tarot.

Dunno about bonfires, but the artstyle is very street art-y which I dig. Shame that it’s so hard to shuffle from the card stock it uses.
Today’s reading talks about concerns of being stuck unable to live up to responsabilities. That IS true, but it’s more of an “I’ve been through too much bullshit” sort of fear than an active concern.

There was an interesting chain reaction when I tried to make a payment.
First I try to send money via Wise. The “this smells like a scam” warnings went from understandable to patronizing real quick but whatever.
I gotta verify my identity, this is business as usual for me by now.
Due to the amount I can’t pay it from card, I gotta make a bank transfer, so I get into the bank account and turns out to make local transfers I gotta order a One Time Password thingy, so I press the button and it tells me it should arrive in 2-3 business days.
And just like that, one task multiplied into like three.
Speaking of multiplication, I got a message from Paypay that they rose my credit card limit from 30.000 yen to 300.000 which like… thank God. A bit late but I’m not gonna say no to payment alternatives.
In fact, in the spirit of opening as many payment alternatives I checked Western Union and did their version of the whole verification tango.
Having adulted enough for the day, I went for my usual walk and hit Yodobashi Camera. Specifically I was looking for a battery.
You see, the big box I got yesterday was a kit of Nuada lights, the kind where you can change the temperature and color of the lights and stuff. I already had a couple, this was to have extras.
Yesterday at the doll event I saw someone with a smaller version of the one I had, and it had a battery which made me go “wait, you can do that?”.
And yeah.

It’s not even hidden or anything, I’m just bad at noticing things… except passively when I notice more than I want.
The curious thing is that, as it says, it’s a battery for a Sony camcorder.
I looked all over the shop, and while they did have batteries it wasn’t any of the listed models. I’m assuming they’re older models, and I didn’t feel like risking it with equivalences and the like, so I went back and checked online for them.
I did get a couple of boxes on the way back for books I’m gonna throw Mandarake’s way, though.

Then I spent most of the rest of the night first leaving the draft of something I’ll drop by Christmas (JST), and then finishing a new Forsaken Gaia chapter.
Well, the chapter had been finished for a bit, I just had to run a small editing pass and then put it on the webpage format. I did some playing around with the background gradient bit for fun.
After finishing and posting it, I realized that last chapter was posted six months ago… and while it’s not the first time I’ve had the “this year has been bullshit” realization, they sure hit me like a truck still.
Yes, six months ago when the bank account started getting blocked due to [white noise], among other things.
In all that time I’ve actually had a tab with the draft haunting me, so being able to be done with this chapter felt good, like another sign that perhaps, PERHAPS, life will go back to some normalcy.

Perhaps.
