“Snow Gods” got translated as “Snow Goddess” for some reason

Today’s deck is the Celestial Tarot Deck.

It’s nothing too special but if you like blue this is a gorgeous selection of blues with yellow highlights.

Today’s reading advices on how charity is a skill to be practiced which… I never thought about that way. I often talk about how things like self-forgiveness needs to be practiced but yeah it stands to reason that other qualities like those would require practice.

Man I slept so well today. You might be thinking “Yeah no shit you slept in your own bed at your own house”, but even beyond that just the fact I didn’t have to sleep with three layers of clothes on is already one hell of an improvement.

I did wake up straight out to grab the rest of my stuff at the cabin and check out proper though. On the whole I don’t regret the experience since I guess I was in a more homely mood anyways, and it’s a cool place to know the existence of for maybe summer or something like that.

I do wanna try a daytrip to Mt Rokko proper at some point this month, at least.

On the way back it finally ocurred to me to check how the route would look if I went out from JR Rokkomichi instead of Hankyu Rokko and oh look at that it saves me one transfer which is great when I’m lugging heaving suitcases.

Google Maps is a farce sometimes.

Most things are still closed and it’s such a surreal sight. Japan is a country that keeps going all week long short of a typhoon or something like that happening, so walking down the street and seeing 90% of businesses closed is eerie. Which is interesting in the sense that that’s just how things were on Sundays in Venezuela.

I still have Lucy and Nadeshiko dressed up so the thought ocurred to me to drop by Kobe again, but I was a bit tired.

I decided to go out nearby for a while, I ate at Cocoichi and resupplied a bit. The Life supermarket I always go to is still closed though so conbini had to make do.

I mean, there’s the 24/7 Kohyo that’s closer to my place, but I’d rather buy meat and the like elsewhere if I have the option.

Anyone remember the guy that told me “OH YOU LIKE UMA MUSUME? LET’S EXCHANGE LINE!” while on my way to pay taxes last year? He messaged me again asking if we could meet up and… nah, I’m good.

I dropped by my office to check the mailbox, which reminded me I had a few page-per-day calendars I got last year and now I got to use them!

At my place I have a Moomin one and a Snoopy one. The Snoopy one is neat because it has a comic in english and then the translation of it in Japanese on the back. Then at my office I set a Doraemon one that’s just specific drawings rather than panels or comics.

The fact the Snoopy one has comics makes me a bit nostalgic because my first proper exposure to learning english was with a book that had Disney (mainly Donald Duck) comics indicating “The roof/El techo” “The floor/El piso” and so forth.

I wanted to do more stuff but sleep came to claim and I should learn to pace myself.
