Today’s deck is The Herbal Tarot.

IT’s really good and goes in-depth with its own theme… it better do too. If a herbalist deck is made by “Michael Tierra” I expect no less.
Today’s reading is 100% about something I cannot talk about yet sadly.

I woke up kinda early and went straight to my office to do some tasks so that I could continue the rest of the day with a clearer head.
Today’s plan was to scout the state of Sakura trees and I picked Osaka Castle since not only does it have a bunch of them but also a few bloom kinda early. Thankfully my ankle isn’t hurting so bad I can’t take a walk on mostly flat land.
After playing around with the girls’ outfits for a bit we headed out.

Trees are in the early bloom stage just like at home, but by sheer volume they already look quite populated from a distance.
The tricky thing about this stage of things is that the blooming is explosive, from one day to the next the landscapes turn pink.

I brought Akane with me and it wasn’t long before we found a cool photo spot.
Further ahead we actually found, of all things, a cicada shell in a random branch. Even further ahead we had shaved ice.

After deciding Stairs wouldn’t be a good idea, we took a different route and made our way back slowly.
Next stage of the plan was to go to Evil but there was still some time ahead so we had Saize- NEVERMIND, we had Sushiro again.

As we sat down not only did we realize we were hungry, we realized we were TIRED.

E wanted to check Tower Records, we went there and then went to the Tax Free counter.
So apparently from 2024 onwards, Namba Parks started making cashless returns, where they send you the tax free return to your card instead of giving you cash. Notably, we also had to go the 4th floor to the 7th to do that.
We had a minor detour because instructions unclear, but that’s what happens when two ADHD people try to find a place.
We made it to Evil and we were pooped, but we made it dang it.

We updated the bartender on the adventures so far and E even brought a bottle from the US for her specifically. One fun bit was showing the bartender photos of Apamates which are flowering trees in Venezuela of a more saturated pink that are also more naturally pink.
She asked me if they were in the city like how Japan lines up Sakura in the streets, but I explained that they’re mostly in the mountains… also that Hanami isn’t a thing.
I thought about how little care Venezuela tends to put into that specific facet of landscaping… but then I remembered that uh… I’m like 60% sure it’s because Apamates are one of those trees with insane roots that break concrete and asphalt.
I also told her of Araguaneyes and how they fit the fleeting beauty of Sakura trees… because birds eat their flowers.

The night was cut short because… we had like 20k steps on each of us and we’d been out for a while. But we’ll return.
