Ma Mo Room

Today’s deck is the Destiny Deck.

I really REALLY like its minimalist style, but the low contrast makes it a slight pain in the butt to read.

Today’s reading is basically reflecting on the “Weather FOMO” I mention further in. Feeling pulled by temptations while trying to Get Things Done.

Oh yeah I learned a fun term the other day.

サークラ, short for “Circle Crusher”, though “Circle Wrecker” is a good translation. Like homewrecker but instead of home it’s a community.

I really like the term because when you hear the term you might think of just what westerners would call “The Yoko Ono” of a group (trust me, my dad knows a lot about The Beatles, I’m aware that John was a wanker and Yoko took the heat), but honestly it applies to so many other things like a toxic discord mod.

Of course the stereotype is that of the girl that gets into an all boys club and sows discord amongst everyone there.

Apparently there’s a related archetype thingy of the “Otaku Club Princess” which is (as you might expect) the idea of the one girl in a boys thing being doted on by everyone.

Do you see now why I was shocked the bodysuit thing I was talking about the other day didn’t have a name when all of this usually does?

ALSO, サークラ is the Phantasy Star spell that makes you self-destruct which is a funny coincidence.

Anyway, today the weather was fine for a change but that meant that I was suffering from what I like to call “Weather FOMO” which is the thing where, for example, rain season lets up for a fucking change and you’re like “ah shit ah fuck I wanna Do Thing because who knows how long the nice weather will last”.

I had other things on my mind, though. Nothing too crazy, just… Assorted Things. A bit of work here, some cleaning there…

I installed some wasp traps, though. It’s basically this cup with a powder and smelly compound that you mix in and then add water. The wasps go in and fall in the liquid.

I despise the smell of it but by God it works.

Also, the box of it had some interesting information. Apparently the summer months from June to August are when queen wasps seek to make their nests. The point being that the box is like “if you see a wasp any other month it’s probably just a worker doing its thing, it’s the June Bride and the July Bitch you should worry about”.

I legitimately didn’t know that, so that was fun.

Though I did wonder, like… what if putting a trap ironically attracts them to begin with even if they end up in the trap?
