Today’s deck is Horang Navi.

This is one of those that falls in the fabled spot of “Dunno if I’d use it regularly but I sure love it.”
Today’s reading is warning about getting TOO comfortable with spending money… probably a reference to one of those situations where I end up buying a thing twice because I didn’¿t take measures right the first time.

One thing I was thinking about during yesterday’s hike is the possibility of… let’s call it an “alternate loadout” camera-wise.
For dolls I use a Canon EOS R7, a 70-200mm 2.8 lens, and a hotshoe flash. In plain english it’s a beefy camera and a slightly heavy lens.
I love my R7, using it is second nature by now, especially with that specific lens. I’ve been using it since 2022 and I remember it because I preordered the body as a birthday gift from me to me but it arrived around the start of August.
Problem is during hikes where every gram counts and I carry a doll and other stuff.
So I started looking up what the lightest mirrorless was… and then realizing the search wasn’t giving me what I wanted I specified lightest mirrorless with IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization).
To my surprise, by all accounts the best in that specific category was the Olympus Pen EP-7, AKA, the camera I use to take general pics.
I can’t remember right now when I bought it. I do have vague memories of using it on one of my first outings with Sumire around 2022? But since my memory mostly hinges on “small camera with built-in flash” it could be another one I had back then…
Also I should clarify, there’s BETTER cameras but I was looking for LIGHTEST. And to be fair, the EP-7 is great, my only complaints are that the screen doesn’t simulate some conditions with slower photos (you gotta take the pic to see the proper results) and that it charges with USB-C.
Point being that if I found some bigger zoom lens and a flash, I can reasonably see myself traveling slightly lighter by having that camera on me and just changing the lenses.

Something to consider, I guess.
