No Tarot today sadly, just didn’t have time.
Woke up, checked out, thankfully the shuttle bus to the station was leaving basically at that moment.
While waiting at the station for the train I read the new Gakuen Idolmaster manga focusing on Kotone. I already liked Kotone just because I love the way her dynamic involves being stuck with a human chiwawa and Pink Idolmaster Main Girl trying to fight her archetype’s natural clumsiness through sheer effort, but the manga really gets to you because it’s effectively a rethread of Yayoi Takatsuki’s plot with a character that is allowed to convey a bigger range of emotions.
That moment when she gets absorbed in the performance only to admit to herself she wants to be an idol that badly got me tearing up on the station.
Then on the way back I realized that I didn’t notice my landlady calling me repeatedly. You see, it’s not the fact that I hadn’t pay by now, it’s the fact that I’m so consistent in calling her at the end of the month and answering the phone on time that of course she was gonna get worried when I do neither due to being too scattered at the moment.
When I arrived the mailbox wasn’t bursting as hard but I stayed because I had to wait for the box with the photobooks for the Sunday event.
When I got them in my hands it all felt so real, and I got really excited. I even booked a bunch of other future events and started thinking about things to improve that I can foresee now (and I’m sure I’ll figure things out through experience).
I’m apparently the only one in that event selling prints and such, so it’s gonna be interesting.
I also installed the new printer I got for my birthday finally and holy shit the printing is some next level stuff.
It doesn’t have the multicopy functions of my other printer, sadly, so it’s more of a sidegrade than an upgrade.
Before sleeping I put up an online order for even meishi and a poster and while I was about to sleep, I COULD have retrieved them at 3AM which is wild.
God bless this country’s wild on-demand fast as hell 24 hour printing services.
