Today’s deck is the Magical Dogs Tarot.
It reminds me of a similar cat deck that came in a similar box and even had elements rather than regular suits. Really good all around.
Today’s reading talks about a burst of emotion born from quietly working on yourself and listening to yourself… or rather, advising to listen to myself in order for that mental fountain to spring forth.
Slept like 4 hours today and woke up at like 11 because I gotta pay the office’s rent… only to be asked to meet up at 4PM instead, which gave me time to go through early day motions calmly.
Landlady was super busy because apparently, coincidentally, the chinese restaurant that I sorta kinda helped with last time I saw her opened today and she was helping with the gas and lights being properly set up and whatnot.
From there on I could’ve gone back home but afraid that I was gonna fall asleep and miss the appointment for my pills I decided to just stay out and walk around.
While doing that I actually finished the second Stay A While And Listen. It’s good! It has a little bit of the Masters of Doom stench that repels me but that’s more a consequence of it focusing on a company founded by Gen X-ers instead of the book trying to be hip with The Gamers.
It’s actually really insightful and neutral on the matter, so that when shit hits the fan it gives you the space to come to your own conclusion about matters instead of trying to push a singular narrative.
And I’m sure people that ACTUALLY like Blizzard games would enjoy it more.
A funny thing I wanna point out is that I spent the most time playing Starcraft 1 out of any Blizzard game and for all the talk in the book about making games easier for casuals and whatnot, Starcraft 1 didn’t let me just type in “blackdeath” to finish the stage and see more of the story like in Age of Empires 2 and I remember resenting that because I was kinda invested in the story.
After walking a lot and feeling the four hours of sleep catch up with me I finally was close to the appointment. A funny thing is that there was this guy waiting to also enter the clinic. He had a cap, mask, and sunglasses. Was tattoed all over and seemed in a hurry to enter the clinic, even attracting the attention of a bunch of people nearby.
Yet the moment he spoke he sounded so polite and even ceded his seat to the others. I got the impression that he wasn’t trying to stir up a scene and his antsiness might’ve come from the fact that he was just by existing or something.
Pills in hand, I returned and completely passed out, I have a lot to catch up with tomorrow.
