Today’s deck is the Doodle Tarot.
I really like the aesthetics of it and how it includes the meanings in the card in a way where you can read them when they’re inverted. It’s also apparently a first eition? Neat!
The backs aren’t symmetrical but with that pattern it’s trickier to make up from down on a whim at least.
Today’s reading includes a Knight of Wands that fell while shuffling. The 9 of cups indicates someone that’s proud of what they’ve accomplished but notably isn’t exactly comfortable, he’s not leaning back. As such the reading advises that to not grow uncomfortable in that succes it’s important to remember three things: “Be caring” “Be independent” “Be brave”.
What I am, however, is sleepy. I slept like 13 hours or something like that. I didn’t even necessarily sleep badly during the trip but there’s truly no bed like one’s own.
Though probably a little late, I decided to head out to the temple I go to for every New Year. The festivities were gone but there was still a surprising amount of people in the same plan.
I only wished for a good year in general, can’t say I had any short term or long term goals where I felt especially compelled to ask for divine help.
Oh by the way, I almost forgot my keys when going out… kinda. What happened was that I carry my keys on one of those zipped up keyholders, and I usually keep those with a retractable larnyard, but the one I had broke on the Tokyo leg of the trip and I didn’t get a new one, so I wanlked out assuming it’d be in my pocket as usual when it would’ve been in a different jacket.
Luckily, I wouldn’t have been locked out because I always keep a spare in my wallet and growing up with every adult warning me “don’t go out without your ID or the cops will deport you to Colombia” I don’t even take out the trash without my wallet.
I was a bit hungry by this point so I decided to try out a nearby Sushiro I always see but always forget to try out… can’t say I had the best of first impressions honestly. Though that’s kinda to be expected since Sushiro is more of a Family Restaurant that serves sushi and I don’t go to Saizeriya for the gourmet food, for example…
…though there’s some days where you just want Saizeriya for some reason.
Regardless, the Genroku Sushi in Douyamacho remains undefeated for me.
As for the rest of the day, I spent most of it sorting things, specifically consolidating stuff into single spots to handle them better later and also not have so much STUFF on the ground. Good progress was made, all in all.
