By the time I looked away from her eyes, my life had changed.
We met on a cold December day. Little did I know then the hole she would make me fall into, little did I know then how much she’d help me heal.
Midori wasn’t my first Volks doll, but she was the first one I “made” (character-wise) from scratch rather than buying an existing body with an existing name. I had been taking doll photos since March of 2021 but this felt like the last missing piece for everything to fall into place in my brain.
A baby that likes to flaunt her body, a clumsy girl that always knows when and how to fall.
It’s hard to know what goes through her mind… if anything goes through her mind at all. The only evident thing is her immense level of self-awareness.
