My homie Ratfucker Supreme

Today’s deck is the Tempest Tarot.

Odd name for a naval-themed deck. Not weird, I get it, but the first thing that came to mind wasn’t ships.

Today’s reading talks about anxieties over not being able to give to others. Considering how much I’ve talked about my woes with card companies lately… YEAH.

The thing that makes me think is that The Hermit finally shows up upright instead of reversed.

Also oh my go, The Hermit is a literal hermit crab!

As usual I woke up checking if anything had blown up (which I should stop doing because doing that is what gets me sleepwalking) and my bank had asked for one more paper.

It’s a paper I had (basically receipts) but do you see what I mean when I say that it feels like they’re asking for papers just to inconvenience me?

My one appointment today was at around 4PM so I was idly checking the Uma Musume blog. It hit a lifetime peak of over 3000 hits in one day a couple of days and I’ve been curious to see how long that sort of traffic lasts.

You might think my brain is at “oh no I need to keep the 3000 hits per day somehow” but no, I’m more like “the normal in 80 hits on average, this is an abnormal situation, let’s see how long it lasts”.

A couple of poor souls filled the contact form with a couple of questions and it made me realize “oh shit, people are using this”. So I opened an actual email for that because the fucking contact form was flooded daily with so many bots selling everything from boosted visibility on TikTok to… dog collars for some reason.

By the time I finished sifting through things it was basically 1800 hits on the contact form of which only like 12 were legitimate messages and questions.

You might be wondering how I did that and it’s actually very easy. First you check by the more common email providers, gmail, outlook, hotmail, yahoo, and so forth. Then what’s left tends to have a bunch sent by the same weird url so just pick the first in the list, check by that provider, and delete everything from that one.

All the while this is happening I just scan the names visually. Bots, in their futile attempt to seem legitimate, always fill in with a full name. Sleve McDichael, Onson Sweemey, Glenallen Mixon, Anatoli Smorin, and so on. While Normal People are aware they’re sending a message on a blog instead of a government thing so they fill the form as “Fuego” or “T” or “Ratfucker Supreme”.

Shown Furcotte is not only a bot, but somehow a bot and a cop; Ratfucker Supreme is meanwhile a sweet person with a legitimate question.

Anyway, I made a quick post about that just for the sake of visibility. Might’ve lost a couple of legit messages in the shuffle but considering the task itself I’d say I caught a decent amount all in all.

There was a minor issue with the appointment, a misunderstanding. Basically I wanted to meet on the 3rd at 4PM (Mikka, Yoji), my landlady heard instead 4th at 4PM (Yokka, Yoji) and I… didn’t hear anything wrong with that.

It was fine though, we just met up at 5PM or so.

I’m trying to not think too hard about how I’d be returning today from my trip if said trip hadn’t gone to hell. Progress was made on plenty of fronts and that’s what matters.
