Today’s deck is Alice in Luna’s Tarot.
I’ve talked before about the nice quality of Luna Tarot so this one is baseline really good. The thing worth noting is that the wonderland theme is relatively light, but considering how inescrutable the other wonderland decks from before could get, this is for the best I feel.
Today’s reading speaks of inner purging, of personal transition, and of forgiveness. Either that or of resistance to change, but personally I feel like if nothing else my problem is that the rug has been pulled from under me so often that I’ve needed to learn to live in the moment rather than be paranoid that my life is going to be uprooted out of nowhere constantly.
On a more micro level, it’s probably related to how today went.
So here’s the thing. When I went out to Tokyo for TGS I packed Mana and Mina with three outfit changes, but I wasn’t able to use them in Tokyo. Then I went to Kinosaki so I used one more and there was one left.
So my idea was to take them and use the Tempozan Ferris Wheel as a backdrop, since I remembered that when I went to a concert with a friend in Sakurajima (the station after USJ) the wheel was in full view.
The problem is that there was no proper view near the river, everything was taken up by hotels and such.
So first things first: I went back to Umeda to eat and from there I decided to go near Yodoyabashi.
First was Mina, in the exact same spot where I took a pic of Yuzu last year incidentally. One thing I need to remember to do is actually to adjust the white balance manually because the Automatic mode is fine but when you deal with yellow lighting and blue flash things can be… messy.
I need to find and then remember to use the colored gels for my flash.
I kept walking, looking for other spots, but all I found was couples getting very touchy with each other in dark spots.
On the way back I did find a neat spot for Mana, here presented with two apertures for slightly different effect.
I also found a pen from a ballet academy on the way back.
To complete the set as intended I got a room at a hotel and took some pics of them. in the room.
And that was most of my day, really. Still recovering from the one-two punch of stress. Worst thing that happened was a guy in Yodoyabashi speeding like crazy on a red light. I was nowhere near close to it when it happened (I was barely registering “green light, let’s cross”) but still God Damn.
