Today’s deck is The Witch of the Forest’s Tarot Magick Deck.

I’m so mad the backs aren’t symettrical because this one’s so good otherwise. I especially like how it has gold highlights rather than outright gold everything.
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten The Fool before. Today’s reading has a very heartening “you’re in the cusp of a new creative journey” undercurrent to itself that I hope is true because I’ve been stuck in bureaucratic hell way too long.

So guess who has to go to TWO embassies… who has to go to TOKYO TO TWO EMBASSIES WHILE AT IT…
Oh yeah, if you ever read the nonsense I’ve done here in Japan and wondered how a Venezuelan can stay so long before a work visa, the answer is dual nationality babyyyyyyyyyyy.
Even though I had to think about going to Tokyo for that (because of course it’s always a thing in Tokyo), I had an appointment at the hair restoration clinic thingy… So OF COURSE I woke up with my right ear giving me enough shit that I decided I should go to an ENT.

For now, I go to the hair clinic and realize it’s a… Ladies’… Skin clinic…
It IS an AGA clinic and also I was right when I went “oh maybe that AGA guy can check the mole in my shoulder”, except being a ladies clinic I would’ve done nothing anyways.
I call to let them know I’m gonna be late and they tell me I don’t have an appointment, and being in the street I had to cut the call short deciding to go by myself and see what’s going on.

I went to the AGA clinic that’s upstairs from where I had my hair transplant but NO, of course it wasn’t that one, that would be easy. Turns out it’s a third clinic, I’ve triangulated the whole of Umeda by now.
It’s windy as hell and I’m also getting hungry, I woke up straight to doing that.

I finally find the building and I need to go to the 8th floor BUT GUESS WHAT THE ELEVATOR ONLY GOES UP TO THE SEVENTH FLOOR. you need to go to the 7th and then up a flight of stairs.
And you wanna know the best part?
You wanna hear the punchline?
My appointment was two days ago, not today.
Yeah.

If it sounds like I’m talking trash about AGA, in truth I’m the clown here. The staff was lovely and very patient with me and my limited Japanese. They haven’t paid me by the way, they should though. Both for my self-inflicted nonsense and for talking them up.
So I’ve got that, I had to call the ENT, plan for the stint in Tokyo, one bank is asking me for documents while being the reason I have to renew my passports sooner than usual, and I still gotta do stuff both for my accountant and the company.
You ever notice how I basically never talk about needing to go back for creative type stuff like writing? You ever wonder what that does to my morale? You see why the cards telling me I’m gonna start doing something else feels so nice?
May I also remind you of my executive dysfunction thing I have going on too, so at the very least I needed to fight my brain feeling like it was overheating.
As a result I decided to finish another of the girls’ profiles. This time it’s for Luna! She reminds me a bit of my cat Bolita, who looks so fluffy and dignified but is a yapper that bites my pinky toe when I try to sleep.
Am I talking about Luna or Bolita there? Yes.

For now, I try to sleep and see if I can be awake at 8AM to go to the ENT, one problem at a time and all that.
Thank God I have that trip to Hokkaido next week, I’m already feeling on the edge of snapping. That’s how you know the year finally started proper.
