Today’s deck is the XIII Tarot.
GOD It’s been a while since I last saw a deck as edgy as this one.
If any of you remember me talking about how someone says something kind to me and I become an even bigger mess than usual, today’s reading reflects THAT.
Predictably, I’m spent.
Even beyond yesterday’s adventure, it’s been quite the busy week. THANKFULLY it’s the sort of good busy instead of whatever the fuck I went through last year.
Woke up with one hell of a headache though, that flower shochu wasn’t something to mess with.
I wasn’t AS physically destroyed as I expected though. After a meal I actually found myself with a small itch to go out for a bit, so I took the chance to check a shop I’d been meaning to go for forever now.
It’s called Kakaplanet, and thankfully the korean characters stop my brain from reading it in a more… unfortunate way. I knew Kakaplanet as a Pixiv Booth shop, so I was surprised there were a couple of physical shops.
The most curious thing about it was that the shop was away from Nipponbashi, it was in Shinsaibashi which in more… common terms is like finding a geeky shop one station away from Akihabara.
It was super cool, what really caught my eye is that they had a bunch of clothes from other Booth sellers I recognized, and it had TWO FLOORS, the lower one had more general stuff and even blind box dolls, and then the second one had more individual pieces and such.
…well, technically it’s second and third floor, given that the entrance has nothing on it.
By the way, for everyone not in Japan: Ground Floor is First Floor.
Anyway, my only real complaint about the shop is that it was a bit tight but it’s not really something to be held against the shop itself anyways.
I spent the rest of the day idly sorting stuff around the house. Also, I finished a book on the production history of The Princess Bride.
I’ve been in a minor books-about-movies binge I’ve forgotten to bring up. I specifically went through this one after going through one on the history of Caddyshack and they’re SO opposite holy fuck, the whiplash is real. One made me go “Andre The Giant was too pure for this earth” and the other made me go “Understood, Chevy Chase must die”.
The Princess Bride one was a breeze, though. it went by so fast.
I should probably rewatch the movie, it’s been a hot minute.
