Crank up that magenta

Today’s deck is the Aibo Tarot Deck (GOD the shot of the cards is so shitty I’m so sorry).

Good deck full of Good Boys, it even includes a couple of extra cards like “My World” and “Sunshine”.

Today’s reading speaks of being stuck between choosing things and going ahead with things. See me talking about FOMO with the cherry blossoms yesterday to see how that’s relevant.

And that’s relevant today because I actually went out to take pics!

I went to Sakuranomiya specifically, which is one of my usual haunts in this season. It’s basically an area that passes by the river near Osaka castle.

The main difference with the pics this time around is that I remembered that I can adjust the tinting of the image. More specifically I pushed the dials to magenta and blue to better convey the colder but pink-er mood of the scene.

I usually end up fighting with the trees looking more yellowish or white, so this change was great.

An important element I’ve realized is that my own emotions tend to… come and go really fast. It’s fine nowadays but there was a period where I ws depressed and basically after they came and went I was left empty and oh dear God that was so scary.

ANYWAY. In any given moment the joy or calm I might feel in a place or event might come and go or it might be mixed in with stress and fears and any other number of THINGS.

But seeing these pics it’s like I can freeze that joy without all the extra noise. Where I’m left less like “I wanna go back to that moment” and more like “I wanna do this again” and capture more such moments for my goldfish brain.

I also took out Marina and Natsu today. Which was also a nice warmup for the photo days to come. You can also see the difference in color balance I mentioned comparing to these.

Speaking of comparisons, here’s another one between 2022 and 2025.

The outing also “calmed” me in the sense that there’s still plenty of stuff yet to bloom, so that eternal sense of needing to rush was calmed ever so slightly.

After walking Way Too Much I went to Evil and it was fun! About 3 hours give or take just flew by chatting about random stuff.

The nice thing about chatting with someone that’s not as neck-deep into geeky stuff is that I can reveal to them that there’s a Kimetsu no Yaiba tamagotchi and their mind is blown.

No huge plans tomorrow but I’ll probably head out for more pics if nothing else.
