Cull the subs

Today’s deck is the Dreaming Cat Tarot: Magical Fantasy

“But Fer, Halloween already passed” shuddup.

This is a Luna Factory one, which we stan in this house. It’s actually a variant of their usual Dreaming Cat Tarot, of which I’ve used the Tutorial variant and I have the regular variant but can’t remember right now if I’ve used yet.

Today’s reading got slightly freaky because The Page of Wands, the card that has showed up quite a bit lately, literally dropped out of the deck while shufling.

The reading itself is reflecting the drive to pursue new endeavors of lately, but it adds that said drive is safely tempered by being in a safe (though not entirely comfortable really) mental state.

Which does line up with how my current bank predicament is more of a hassle that is taking a bit of time to get done with rather than proper stress.

It’s the start of a new month which means… which means I forgot the Big Start of Month Read, dang it.

Ah well.

What I was gonna say is that it means a bunch of things are billing themselves automatically which is a pain in the ass when I’m semi cut-off from my money, but it should be fine for now still.

…should be, but my fanbox subscriptions didn’t pass.

Ah well, I was meaning to trim those anyways. It’s a good practice to do every few months or so because artists can go MIA out of nowhere for a while.

Not this time (since it was basically imposed by circumstance) but last time I did that what I did was go through the list and check every name/icon that I didn’t immediately recognize before passing judgement.

The day itself has been very lowkey. I spent most of it checking DLsite and to my surprise a few games I was looking for came out. BlackMetalU-1 also announced a new game which makes me happy since they sounded kinda burnt out with their last one (which I loved).

Honestly, it’s a big relief/joy when I see that DLsite people are still at it, because them more than other indie endeavors tend to be people making games rather than a Whole Thing optimizing how to make it into a full time job.

I mean, a few of them do, but most of them are very clearly doing it on the side and y’know, they have zero obligation, they do it because they like doing it.

I feel that’s probably why those games resonate with me so much. You can feel the passion of “I’m using RPGmaker’s preset map and not much else but I really wanna make a game where you fuck every girl in town and not even God can stop me”.

Not much else to report otherwise, it’s been the sort of week where I sleep like 10-11 hours 2 days in a row.
