Today’s deck is the Crystal Tarot.

Turns out “crystal” means glass rather than rocks, it’s not a deck with quartz but one with a stained glass aesthetic.
Today’s reading is pointing to a general feeling like I’m not being allowed to be myself in a way that fulfills me.
I agree, but thankfully only in a professional sense rather than a personal one.

Ok so the doll wig wash is actually REALLY good.
Basically, it’s like it coats the hair in a thing that keeps the strands separate from each other? So it’s not like it turns curly wigs into straight ones.
I’m definitely giving everyone else a go. Honestly, good maintenence if nothing else.
I sorta kinda wanted to take pics today so I dressed Luna and Sol since their hair was now washed. I found great complimentary fits but there are two problems… well, more like two and a half.

The first is that I’m not entirely convinced on Luna’s shoes, I’d rather get her something new.
The second is that I can’t find the plastic case where I keep doll glasses so Sol doesn’t have then on and it’s part of her character now.
And the last and kinda least I also can’t find the case where I keep the other lens filters for the camera.
I vaguely suspect those last two might be connected.
I took my usual walk today because it’s a Monday where I don’t have anything urgent so instead of relaxing I’m ANXIOUS.
However, it being monday means the DQ Walk shop refreshes and I can get one of the bonus maps full of King Slimes, which means I can grind at least two characters to the last stretch to 70.
Which means Tier 3 classes babyyyyyyyy.

While the stats at lvl 1 don’t look impressive in the class-change screen, the most immediate difference is that to equip Monster Hearts (medals with assorted stat boosts that are your main non-gacha source of power) you have basically more cost allowance at LVL 1 than a Tier 2 at LVL 70 which immediately boosts to you like a LVL 50 Tier 2 equivalent. Not to mention that while before you had an incentive to match the color of a slot with the color of a heart due to reduced costs, now matching the color boosts the stat gains.
Then there’s a “heart path” mechanic which is really cool. Basically every 10 levels you unlock one extra tier and you have two roads that correspond to the two jobs that compose the current one.
So you can have a Ninja that leans more towards Pirate (for more power) or Ranger (for more speed). But the coolest part is that each slot has a set of requirements and depending on how many you meet you get more bonuses. For example a list might be “costs more than X, Costs less than Y, Is a monster of this type, gives this much of this stat” and depending on how many of those requirements it fits you get between 1 and 4 extra bonuses.

Up until now the only hearts I’d been using were just the strongest available that I could equip, but this makes it so hearts from the start, the kind that even at the start of the game became obsolete, are suddenly mighty tempting and that’s always cool to see.
You can also alternate, so maybe one tier is Pirate because of the extra power but the next is Ninja because of the skill.
When I came back a new toy awaited me.

This is the other thing I got with all the Yodobashi Camera points I’d ben saving.
Well, more like “I never use the points and I’ve bought a lot of camera equipment this year” but still.
A Hover X1 drone. After some charging I did the tutorial and words cannot convey how giddy I was the moment I felt it lift off from my hand.
The first test had it trying the tracking mode and it recorded me. While I didn’t appreciate being recorded in my underwear, it did catch me smiling like an idiot at seeing the new toy fucking fly and hover off the ground though.
I’ve never seen that smile. I’ve felt it plenty, but it’s the first time seeing it.

No wonder people always insisted back in the day that I should smile more.
