Today’s reading is advising that not only I CAN but I SHOULD rely on others more.
In exactly one week from now I’ll be traveling to Tsushima of Ghost of Yotei fame.
Now, as much as I’d like to tell you that I decided on it because of Ghost of Tsushima, it was… honestly a bit of a coincidence.
Whenever I travel I tend to pick some random spot I find interesting and look for hotels nearby. I can’t quite remember WHAT I was looking for (as evidenced by how I forgot I made the reservation until I saw the reminder that I was gonna get charged about it) but if I had to guess, it’s probably something related to the mongol invasions.
Like, my reaction to checking the booking was “oh, THAT Tsushima? Damn…”.
This is preamble to talk about me finding out the general route I’ll have to take.
Tsushima is somewhere you can get to by Ferry or by plane. I would’ve loved to take a ferry but I’m making kinda short-term plans here.
So I go and look for a plane and no flight from Kansai goes there.
I reluctantly check in Tokyo and still nothing.
You see… the Tsushima airport only takes flights… from Fukuoka.
Now that’s not the biggest issue. I just go to Fukuoka in Shinkansen and then to the airport, but it’s WILD to see that sort of really small airport exist.
Still looking forward to it though. Don’t want the weird malaise that hit me in June to come back.
…by the way the joke on the title is that Yotei is similar to Youtei (appointment or plan).
