I posted this without a title

Today’s deck is the Tarot of Mystical Moments (Borderless Miniature Edition).

One of the more interesting things I’ve encountered since collecting decks are the ones that are collages and the like. They’re not just a couple but a subset of their own.

I mean it’s an artstyle unto itself, I just wasn’t as exposed to it beforehand.

Lately I’ve hand the odd pang of doubt with my skills, the once in a blue moon “what if my success was a lucky fluke?”. Today’s reading emphasizing creativity and intuition seems to say “you’re overthinking it, it’s fine”.

I woke up super late again, but I didn’t have an appointment this time around (not at the start of the day at least) so I was able to do things immediately after and FIRST THINGS FIRST I’M GETTING THAT DAMN LIGHT BULB.

I also got a couple of extra towels, some groceries, and then while on the way to pay I saw this rack for washing machines.

Now, this isn’t just for Richard, this is the solution to something that I had been ruminating about for ages.

Even outside of the idea that I’m gonna have visits around, one problem I’ve had is that I usually just drop the dirty clothes onto the washing machine and let them pile up, but if I have white clothes OR the white clothes are the ones inside the machine then I didn’t have much of a place to put them.

This was the solution to all of that and I feel silly for not noticing it earlier… then again, Kohnan has its reform (AKA remodelling)/spring cleaning season going on so a bunch of things that are usually out of sight are at the front.

However, I did something entirely uncharacteristic… I stopped for a fraction of a second to THINK.

While sizes of things in Japan are very standarized, it would be better to, you know, make sure the space of my washing machine is the right one for that rack.

I won’t pat myself in the back too much though, if I didn’t have the halogen (fluorescent by the way, halogen is what we call fluorescent bulbs in Venezuela) bulb in hand as a reminder, I would’ve probably bought it then and there.

And good thing I did! Basically the gap my washing machine is in turns out to be 70cm, while the rack (at least the model I took a pic of, no idea if they have others yet) can extend between 75 and 95.5cm.

Now that I was back home anyways I decided to change the fucking lightbulb and the LED one was ever so slightly warm. Lo and behold, the moment I slotted the new one in it immediately turned on.

So that’s one problem less.

The episode with the washing machine rack reminded me that one scene in Bleach where Kenpachi is like “ah shit ah fuck can’t believe I was pushed to do this” and proceeds to win the fight by applying proper form and technique, grabbing the sword with both hands and taking the most basic stance.

Imagine my power if I cared to stop about anything I do for like half a second.

Except if I do that I get paralyzed by choice so nah.

Think about the past and get crushed by a disproportionate sense for the size of your sins, think about the future and be crushed by concerns of what might be. Live your life one moment at a time only thinking about past and future as far as it might affect said present moment.

It’s worked for me at least.

Spent the rest of the night (since I woke up so late I didn’t have much of a “day” ahead anyways) sorting and cleaning a bunch of loose ends here and there. I was also staying awake half to fix my schedule and half to wait for the mailman to come pick up boxes of STUFF to sell to Mandarake.

The mailman I got this time around was very… methodical. Not that I’ve had sloppy mailmen but more like the method, they usually batch things but this one was processing each box one by one.

Well, I say no sloppy mailmen, but there was this one kid (’cause I swear to God he was younger than me) who dropped in my mailbox a package that was cash on delivery so he left a note asking me to basically reschedule the delivery I already got so he could get the money. Then when he did his belt receipt printer thing ran out of paper and when I told him it was fine, that I didn’t need a receipt he looked SO relieved.

Hope he’s doing well.
