Invisible Design

Aight so just like last time I was out of the house, same deck and mat while I’m gone. This time I’m using my small Waite deck.

Today’s reading speaks of indecision of the “should I stay or should I go?” kind, notably in terms of something that might be ripe for the taking or not.

This reading is fascinating because it can apply to SO MANY THINGS that I’ve just been chewing on it all day.

Credit where it’s due, all the sorting last night made me sleep like a baby.

I was triple checking all the papers before leaving and I noticed that one of them required me to stamp my fingerprint on one of them.

That took me back, been a while since some document required my fucking fingerprints.

I didn’t stamp them yet though, for all I know it’s one specific finger or all of them and I don’t know yet.

I packed everything KINDA last minute, but it’s fine because it’s not the first time I’ve had to buy stuff after leaving anyways.

The day’s been rainy as heck, but it thankfully let up a bit before I left.

I had over an hour to kill while waiting for my train so I explored a bit of the station on the Shinkansen side. There was nothing too crazy, but it’s something I never do, I’m always rushing towards the train.

But this time I had ramen and even after eating leisurely I had like half an hour or so to kill.

During the trip I decided to activate Fast Travel, AKA, opening Balatro on my phone.

I made it to my hotel, and it’s driving me crazy in such specific ways.

So the first thing is that traditionally, elevators are on smaller hallways, but these ones are in the main hallway, meaning I passed them like twice without it parsing in my head that I was passing them by constantly.

Like this.

Then I’m gonna open my room and I instinctively pull because something about the whole setup made pulling more natural. I wanna say it’s something to do with being outside and the knob being on the left or maybe it’s how the door ir positioned I DON’T KNOW but it’s breaking my brain.

Also, in the bathroom, the lever to flush looked like just a regular bit to hang bags or something and it took me way too long to realize it was to flush.

It is breaking my habit-addled brain in a very specific way…

After settling down I convened with a friend to get dinner, but on the way I stopped to buy a charger for my camera’s battery because I forgot that.

I swear to God, I have like three around the house by now. Thankfully there was a Bic Camera on the way.

We met up, had Yakitori in a kinda fancy place in Ginza which was amazing, and that’s about it, really. Just a fun time, a prelude to all the busywork waiting for me tomorrow.

…I just remembered how last time I did this in 2020 I had to run to take a photo for it. The photo thing is gonna bite me in the ass so I should wake up early and take one.
