Plan today was to head to the Shitennoji Flea Market.
Despite not being as bad as say… Kyoto, I actually don’t frequent Tennoji that much. Couldn’t tell you why though, I wanna say it’s the amount of tourists but it’s roughly the same as Namba.
Anyway, We went there and funnily enough they had a Paypay QR code for donations to the temple. That’s so amusing.
I always forget how BIG Shittennoji is, and moreover that extended to the amount of booths.
There was everything from lightly used shoes, to tools, to old phones. But it was when we saw a booth with a lot of old cameras that I realized “Oh we’re in for some good stuff”.
I got an old knife that looked like a nice cleaning project as my first purchase.

There’s some really neat stuff including handmade things, it’s not just Old Stuff. I was SHOCKED to see some bamboo flutes I’d only ever seen in Merida in Venezuela.
We had a really nice if small haul and decided to move onto the next appointment, but said appointment was at 5 so went to a saizeriya…
Nevermind, Saize is full. We went to Sushiro. They had a collab with that one puppet that teaches Japanese while talking like Mickey Mouse. We got a finger puppet out of it.
Okay NOW we went to the next appointment which was at a Doll studio. I believe I mentioned it in like January or so? I made a reservation but had to cancel because Hell Sleep Schedule.
Today I brought Haru and Midori, their outfits were ones they had been wearing for A While and they happened to fit the backdrops. Apparently there’s two backdrops that change every month which is super cool.
You can even get tea and some snacks! Both for the girls and for you. It’s a very complete experience, I’m definitely coming back next month.
We kinda wanted to try going to Evil but between all the walking and the weight we were carrying around I took the executive decision that we would go Later.
