Kanpai Chinchin Ketsu Manko

Today’s deck is the Viceversa Tarot.

This one’s gimmick is really interesting in that instead of any obfuscation, the backs of the cards are like if you saw the reverse perspective of the scene depicted in the card. It creates really fun interpretations of what the reversed meanings are, like The Fool prancing through a field but the reverse of it reveals it’s a cliff.

The problem is that as cool as the gimmick is, the fact that it lacks any mystery and you can see what the next card would be makes it… really hard to wrap your head on how to use it. I actually don’t really know how if there’s any proper method.

Today’s reading is definitely reflecting all the stuff that’s happened this week, that general sense of “it’s time for you to defend what you’ve fought so hard to get”.

Big things are happening on the “Fer cleans his house” front. BEHOLD!

Honestly, more satisfying than having everything sorted so neatly is the fact that the Daiso plastic orcganizers are a perfect fit.

I kinda wonder if it’s some standarized size, like it’s standard for drawers to be a certain size in a specific dimension and then they make the organizers relative to those dimensions.

Maybe it’s a ratio thing?

My self-satisfaction with the organizing kinda stops, however, when I reveal to you that the reason I was able to organize things so much better is that after FIVE YEARS owning this place I realized I had one extra drawer.

In my defense, I assumed that chunk of the counter was completely taken by the dishwasher so the rest of the vertical space was some machinery for it.

Not pictured, but I also added a thing that catches the food and solid chunks that fall into the sink. The only reason I didn’t get one earlier was that… I think I got one in the past and didn’t fit? Something like that.

Plans to do anything outside today were hindered by the weather being fucking rainy. So we headed out at around… 8PM I wanna say?

We ate dinner in the Genroku Sushi near Namba’s Bic Camera and then went to Osaka’s Touhou Bar.

Compared to Evil, that bar is rowdier. Not in a bad way though, just loud and lively. V had a themed drink and I had normal drinks and Jesus Fuck that bar’s drinks are STRONG.

Like, I can hold my alcohol fairly fine. But I mathematically get three times drunker there compared to other places.

Two of the guys there had a round of shots because their birthdays were close. One of them had just turned 24 if I remember right. That one I could see opening Google TL and wanting to ask why we were visiting Japan but never did and Imma be honest: I didn’t have the energy mental or otherwise to be A Guide.

After that we were like “Let’s go to Evil and have one last drink before returning”. Sadly it was closed but we had the INTENT so we looked nearby for other mix bars and found “Mix Okama Bar Believe x Believe”.

Like the name suggests: It’s a queer bar. It’s in Dotonbori so there’s even seats where you can see the river.

It’s also a more overtly flirty bar. Not in any creepy way, mind you. Just in that sort of “this is our ambiance” way. It’s the first time I’ve been to a bar like that I think, I tend to know more uh… relaxed places.

My mind was still clear but my body was giving out, to the point that in one kanpai (or rather one “kanpai chinchin ketsu manko”, the shop’s variant) I spilled my drink. It was more surprise than mess but it was still a sign of “yeah the booze is getting to me”.

We sang some Karaoke and my voice was Non Existent, as it always is when I’m tired and drunk. I did, however, notice I can compensate some of it by shifting one octave down.

We got a bit of a second wind there and stayed until 3AM. We were actually going to leave at around 2 but the staff was like “Well, you pay by the hour, might as well use it”, so we chilled there.

There was a funny bit where they guide us to the elevator, we say goodbye, and then when the door opens on the ground floor they’re there again, they went down real fast. That was so funny.

I always wonder if the fact that I tend to arrive at those places when I’m not 100% because of exhaustion and such means I end up holding myself back OR I’m somehow more ameniable because my guard is down.
