LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH

Today’s tarot is Old Whispers, a Lovecraft-themed one.

Honestly? Not half bad. It includes two extra major arcana not detailed in the manual, though I appreciate that the manual goes out of its way to explain which card is what, like The Star being Colors From Outer Space.

Today’s reading is a fitting continuation of yesterday, as if saying “See? the world didn’t end because you were feeling sad for a bit”.

It didn’t and it was a good reminder that if I felt down today (which I did) things would be fine (which they were).

I had no plans today so I just headed out to get food and take it from there. I was feeling like having a burger so I went to a place called Munch’s Burger and had a Brisket Burger which was amazing. Definitely worth the wait outside and inside.

On checkout the cashier asked me if I was from nearby and I said yes because in the moment I thought about my hotel (sorry cashier lady) and as I was leaving she asked if the thing I was carrying with me was some sort of instrument and she was delighted to see Himeno inside the case instead.

I figured I should head to the Tokyo Sky Tree since I went to the Tokyo Tower yesterday and I got distracted, cut to me being on the local road to Narita Airport. Funnily enough it’s not the first time I’ve taken that route, I had to take it on purpose for TGS 2019 because I had an airbnb in the middle of fucking nowhere.

Eventually, against all odds, against my own dang dumbassery, I made it to the Sky Tree area and decided to kill time at a Karaoke.

That was not… the best choice. There was still a tinge of melancholy in my system and going to a very social place in that sort of state is… not the best of ideas.

However, I did have Himeno with me, and therein lies the magic. Even if I’m sad, I can take pictures that reframe the memory. Now I won’t look back to today as “the day where I was kinda fine until I went to a Karaoke” instead it’ll be “the day where I was slightly sad, but I took some killer pics of one of my girls”.

Also the day a burger shop cashier apparently got interested in me.

That too.
