Today’s deck is the Hexen 2.0 Tarot.

It is delightfully on the nose, the incarnation of “I know writers that use subtext and they’re all cowards”. When I saw that Judgment was just the word Ethics rotated 90 degrees and that The World was just a card with “WW1 WW2 WWW” I was clapping like a seal.
Today’s reading warns about being trapped by high expectations. Plenty of things come to mind but funnily enough it kinda fits as a theme for today.

I woke up from a weird dream where I had a zit or something on my nose and I kept squishing it and pus just kept coming out no matter how many times I did that. Funnily enough I think the dream was there because I was pressing on my nose while I slept.
It’s a bit like how whenever I’m tense and grind my teeth while asleep I tend to have these dreams where it’s like… it’s like I can snap my teeth the way one snaps fingers.

Disgusting dreams aside, I woke up determined to check the new camera only to see that the battery wasn’t charged. Which was weird but turns out I’m just dumb.
So my main camera, a Canon Eos R7, uses a charger that blinks more depending on how charged the battery is. Blink once, the battery is dry; blink twice it’s about halfway there, blink thrice, it’s almost done; light up green and it’s done.
When I went to sleep, the charger of the R50 (the new, smaller camera) was blinking once so I’m like “ok, it’ll take a while”.
This is the part where I reveal to you that the charger of the R50 isn’t supposed to blink, it’s supposed to be orange until it’s green, a fact I didn’t realize until I woke up.
Not like I could test the camera anyways because the day was rainy as FUCK.

After this I decided to check the inbox of the Uma Musume blog and someone was pointing out that the text in the search box was white on white. Something I didn’t realize because… I’ve never used it, not gonna lie.
Cut to Fer running a quick intensive basics on how the fuck to use CSS. It was shockingly easy, in fact, turns out if you use the inspect element function on the thing you wanna change and search for it on the style sheet then BAM you go straight to what you wanna change.
Finding that bit of advice was unnecessarily hard though. For one I vehemently refuse to see video tutorials, and for another turns out the grift Unity has where someone asks a question and the answer is “Hey my plugin fixes that, buy my plugin” isn’t exclusive to Unity and I hate it man, I hate it so much.
But I did it dang it. Against all odds I learned the basics of how CSS is supposed to work and how to find what to change in like an hour.
…I have previous experience programming, it’s not THAT hard to translate the basics into other things.
As a treat to myself after this, I decided to finally unbox a Jinrai and God Bomber toys I had laying around and I’ve linked Wotafa’s review of the toy since he gives it a better impression than what I had.
I spent TWO HOURS trying to assemble it but all the pieces were so finnicky that after, again, TWO HOURS, I went “to Mandarake goes this bitch” and boxed it again.
I’m used to Masterpiece toys taking a long while to transform, that’s the whole point, but that’s usually two hours and then it works properly, not two hours for it to not work as intended.

Manchild Problems aside, it was a good day on the whole, honestly. Rain and all.
