FINALLY ONE DAY LEFT TO CATCH UP. Good God.
There was very little attention for the booth, sadly. Though people DID turn around a lot just to look at the photos which was encouraging at least.
I remember I was bummed but it was about what I expected. Then I noticed I fell into a very familiar mantra…
“You can mope and cry, or you can do something about it”
So I started thinking what to do and an idea to make a photo tutorial that I wanted to do resurfaced. And funnily enough as I was drafting it on my phone that’s when I had my first purchase!
And that was enough for me which was also interesting. You’d think I’d be at the stage where I’d be bummed for not selling 100 copies but instead I was happy for selling one, especially because the guy that bought it was really happy with it.
In total I sold two copies which is two more than I expected and I gifted two copies to my table neighbors.
I knew events had a Kuroneko Yamato booth for sending all the leftover stuff. I made use of it and travelled back home lighter. I was actually back by like 5 because the event was already closing at around 3:30PM.
One of the purchasers actually found me on twitter and told me that the people that make photobooks tend to sell them on Comiket, which is good to know for an attempt there, but I kinda wanna keep trying idoll.
Photography is an important part of the hobby and I want to at least be there representing that love for photography.
Also, you know, maybe announcing things with more leeway helps.
