None of you are free of sin

Today’s choice is the Lumina Tarot.

This was hyped in the Biddy Tarot book and it definitely lives up to the hype. It’s super pretty and the illustrations are nice. My only complaint is that the evocative imagery might be too surreal for some.

Today I used 4 cards because they fell as I was shuffling. And the four of them have a similar theme: Moving on.

Six of cups traditionally has children playing and represents that nostalgia or joy, but Reversed it can mean pining for that rather than living through it. Five of Cups represents basically crying over spilled milk, and Reversed it can mean that you haven’t forgiven yourself over it.

The other two cards are what really sets the context.

Reversed Tower, a crisis averted or a crisis complete. And while I tend to see The Devil more in reference to the shadow self, here you can read it with the more traditional meaning of being bound by something negative… or unbound since it’s Reversed.

When I did the reading it felt like it was an extension of the other readings from before about moving onto the post-visa-stress stage of things.

What if it’s about the twitter thing tho?

So for the sake of posterity in this blog, basically Apartheid Steve decided to make the block function less effective while also making it mandatory to use the user info to train their AI.

Now there’s some things worth noting here. The first one being that whatever you post on Twitter ends up in Google so it might’ve been used to train AI models already.

And the other one is that I’m pretty sure it’s not quite legal to make those changes let alone so fast. Off the top of my head I’m sure the block function is required for app storefronts (especially with things aimed at kids 13+) AND the EU is very strict about those opt out fields for user information.

Don’t quote on any of that tho.

The result is that people have been jumping ship gleefully to BlueSky. The main thing that keeps me tethered to twitter is all the illustrators I follow and they’re all jumping ship day by day.

Not much new on my personal side, though. I found that some Family Marts are selling Peach Tea and cried tears of joy at having PEach Tea outside of spring when Lipton sells it.
