Today’s deck is the Dream Tarot Cards.

As much fun as I have poking the ribs of what I’ve called “mall feminists” in the past, it IS cool to see that “Female Founded and Run” and ESPECIALLY the “Artist designed” bit. The deck is good too! very simple and minimalistic, I tend to prefer decks that err on that side because I don’t like visual noise.

Today’s reading is speaking of how bonds from the past and the present will balance each other out.

I spent most of the early day groggy from not sleeping well and then worried that I double dosed on my ADHD meds.

Reason I suspected I double dosed was that I sure was feeling a suspicious discomfort in my chest.

I’ve taken twice the amount of pills by accident in the past. It’s not the worst thing that can happen, it’s just annoying. The best and worst way I can describe it is that you “superfocus”, you become slightly jumpy and anxious, not helped by the way that the tachycardia exacerbates the feeling. Interesting to note, however, that when that happens it’s pretty much your body just going through the side effects it got used to again.

However, as much discomfort as my chest had, I wasn’t… anxious exactly, so I took a bunch of stomach medicine and the baking soda-flavored burps I had for the next hour afterwards basically told me I just had I’m Gonna Fucking Die Syndrome.

While this happened I was making a few calls here and there and sending some emails. Of note was calling for a Finasteride refill ’cause I’d forgot to ask for it for a while and it’s actually having an effect.

Said effect is mainly a handful of hairs showing up where my hairline used to be when I was like 20, but hey.

Later at night I ended up making a bunch of calls to banks (in Europe, hence why at night) and dear God I finally got an answer to SOME of the nonsense I’ve been going through.

So some of you will remember me talking like a month ago about an impasse I had where I couldn’t use my bank account because they were asking for some papers, but I couldn’t pay for the papers they asked for because I couldn’t use my account and so on and so forth. In that same string of events I mentioned being told to register for some online ID thingo and being blocked frame 1 because I used a non european phone number.

So apparently, the cards are blocked for the same reason my account was blocked, because they need a paper. The paper in question is a certified passport copy, which I already made… but the card company needed a “digital certificate”.

First time I hear of that, first time friends of mine hear of that, even my bank representative was effectively like “yeah dunno man it’s some bullshit”.

Turns out the “digital certificate” in question is on the ID thingo that I got blocked from somehow, so the solution is IN THEORY for the bank to finally unblock the thing so I can register and then the card company unblocks the cards.

And IN THEORY communism works, IN THEORY.

I’m not really as elated as I probably should be at finally having a solution in sight for a number of reasons:

First of all the whole “digital certificate” nonsense is dumb, I already had a certificate that was good enough.

Second: The fact that I had to wait SO LONG for a fucking answer. A LOT of my anger and stress would’ve been relieved so much earlier if either side went “hey this is what’s wrong specifically we’re working on it” instead of “yeah uh… no updates see ya later”.

And third: The fact that doing ANYTHING in that regard (and this goes for both bank and card company) has them ping pong me from one side to the next. I call the card company and they go “yeah that’s with your bank, sorry” and then the bank is like “what? no, that’s with them, they gotta send us a thing”.

Now we just wait until they let me into the things to certify the thing I already have so I can hopefully use my own fucking money that’s been held hostage all this while good riddance.

The day ended up nicely though. The Uma Musume blog had a spike of like 6k views and by the time midnight rolled around it went up to 10k which is… honestly historic even with our main company blog.
