Today’s deck is the Kitten Tarot.
You see, it’s different from the usual ones because it’s kittens instead of cats.
Today’s reading has portents of a sudden epiphany with regards to making things, a good one that will bring prosperity.
I sure hope so. Not that I’m lacking ideas but if it means I finally get to make things instead of having my brain occupied with busywork I would gladly welcome it.
I woke up to a friend going “The thing is, I’ve seen what kind of things you share on Twitter…”
“…and I want your opinion on some outfits I’m thinking on getting”.
What a way to wake up, lemme tell you, couldn’t be more flattered though.
The whole thing dug up something in the deepest corner of my brain. A few years ago someone was talking about the nonsense of rating looks and stuff and I actually ended up sorta kinda coming up with my own scale for that which goes like this:
- 10 – Someone that makes a living with their looks AND is using post-processing (filters, etc).
- 9 – Someone that makes a living with their looks.
- 8 – Someone that doesn’t make a living with their looks but cares about them.
- 7 – Someone you find attractive, on a day where they put extra effort.
- 6 – Someone you find attractive, on a normal day.
- 5 – Someone you find attractive, on a bad day.
- 4 – Someone you don’t find attractive, on a good day.
- 3 – Someone you don’t find attractive, on a normal day.
- 2 – Someone you don’t find attractive, on a bad day.
- 1 – Someone out of the question.
- 0 – Why the fuck are you asking me that.
This isn’t something I use myself, mind you. It was more of a mental exercise. The main thing is that even when you talk about “traditionally” or “conventionally” attractive looks subjectivity STILL kicks in there, so I thought something like “well at the top there should be something completely unreal and then take it from there” but “unreal” as in “factually, this is not normal” rather than “goddess mommy awooga etc”.
Back into my actual day, as soon as some packages I was waiting for arrived, I went out to pay some bills, then I made a quick trip to Nipponbashi to pick up some Warhammer books that had arrived ages ago.
Left them back at my place before heading out again and uh… I had bought some tea and one of the cartons got squished. The bag caught most of it but it was still damp. I had to wash the bag one of these days anyways, it hasn’t seen a washing machine since I got it in August of 2022.
Oh yeah, so my everyday backpack I got when I went to Okinawa in 2022, I had bought too many souvenirs and needed the extra space.
Also when I went to check my mailbox I noticed that a new bill was in there.
I just paid a bunch of them man, what the hell.
I made a quick trip to Yodobashi Camera to pick up a WiFi extender for my place because I got tired of not having WiFi on my toilet.
All the while this is happening, I’m answering some emails from my accountant AND I get told to show up on Wednesday on the Spain embassy for the passport renewal.
I sent them an email requesting an appointment but I assumed they would book like two weeks later or something.
In the end it’s better because I can get out of it faster but damn.
