Return from Meoto Iwa

Oops, no reading today.

Basically what happened was that I had packed everything and in the shuffle of returning and whatnot I just… forgot.

To be fair, I also needed a reminder of what day it was since my sleep schedule has been all over the place in general.

Things were chill while I waited for morning to arrive, I did notice that yesterday’s walk gave me a bit of a tan but mainly in my face… I gotta plan a proper beach trip soon-ish because I HATE when I get uneven tans.

Tanlines? Beautiful, subtle hints of sensuality. Uneven tans? Hate.

Funnily enough, it seems like my walk yesterday wasn’t really that much more sever than my walking the day before, according to my phone at least.

I make it to the whackass train station and wait for a while. There was a train to Iseshi at 6:48, but there was also a train to Toba at 6:18, and both stations would get you to the express, so I opted to at the very least be moving more.

I make it to Toba and oops, I forgot to buy a ticket for the limited express train. But following my plan of just “keep moving” I figured I can just… take the regular express. IN THEORY I could’ve taken that same express all the way to Kyoto, but that wasn’t an adventure I wanted to take with all the luggage I had around.

Curiously, there was a limited express set for Namba at 9:32, but if I followed the route I had in mind I should arrive at Namba at around that time anyways.

I drop in Ise Nakagawa and I buy a ticket for the express and…

…wait, could I have done that in the earlier transfer? I assumed after I went through the gates I was shit outta luck.

Oh well.

In typical Fer fashion I go to one end because I assume that’s gonna be car 1 but it was car 4 so I had to lug my luggage through the entire length of the train.

It’s a vista car btw, so I had to take STAIRS in two of those cars to get to the next one.

The lugging didn’t end there either, because THEN I had to lift my 20kg or so luggage over my head and into the overhead area.

You know, it’s not like I haven’t heard the siren call of HRT, but things like that are the reason I can go “nah…” at it so easily. The moment having a male body stops being useful is probably the moment the call becomes louder, but today is not that day.

The road was uneventful aside from seeing one very rude ojiisan shove aside a lady to get to his seat to the visible shock of everyone.

When I got home my mailbox was about to burst (nothing new there) but notably while I was catching up with things the water company arrived telling I forgot to pay February and to please pay, which I did… cut to Fer slumping in his seat afterwards going “HOLY SHIT what if I missed them tho…”

I’ve already written in this blog about coming home to no electricity because of a similar thing so… YEAH.

There’s calls and emails and whatnot but I’ll deal with that later.
