Let the mid-trip day begin!
To0day’s reading advises that an impasse between wanting to balance things and hesitating to take the first step is making things not flow.
I took that advice to heart leading to the patented Fer Unwise Travel Choice, but we’ll get there.

The day actually started kinda lazy, I just laid in bed checking my phone and playing games for like 5 hours, which IS a privilege I can’t always indulge into, sadly.
I WAS thinking about my plans for the day, however. There was this park with a lighthouse that I saw in Google Maps that was like 2km by foot and I decided I should check that.
So I dress up the girls for the ocasion, pack a bunch of equipment and head out.

Not before getting fuel for the road though. That ramen was so good.
I was dressed in a sleevless shirt, shorts and sunglasses to grab a bit of a tan while I walked and I could just FEEL the stares, can’t say if they were good or bad but there sure were a bunch.
There’s this huge high bridge you can see in the distance and I decided to head there to check what was around. This is where the fun starts.

Part for fun and part to catch my breath I stopped to take some pics of stuff in the mountain.

For reference this is how. things looked at 1x with my iPhone.

The I figured, Hey this is already a cool spot so BEHOLD.

Halloumi at her coolest yet. I really love how this pose turned out and honestly I just stopped taking photos because the wind tipped her over so I went “aight, that’s enough I guess”.
After that I started walking for a bit and I found a cool spot so BEHOLD.

Cherry at her cutest yet.
This specific set was… unnecessarily hard. It was on a small hill with some seats and a gazebo and the wind, which was already strong was at its strogest there. While it did wonders for the photos propping her up was HARD.
I brought her with shoes and the shoes were a detriment to her standing up so I had try with her barefoot.
When I finally managed to prop her up properly in what’s basically her leaning backwards a little bit I ended up becoming one with the wind. Taking photos and then lunging forwards to hold her the moment I felt like the wind was picking up.

Afterwards I resumed my path. I intended to go to this one greenery park I saw in google maps with a lighthouse and stuff. It looked really cute so I started walking there because hey, who knows, I might see something else that’s also fun on the way right?
And I did… kinda.
The park is basically behind some processing plant at the tail end of some industrial area. I didn’t take photos or videos on the way because there was nothing too interesting to see and also, in case the telescopic lens didn’¿t give it away, my backpack was like 10kg or so at the very least. so I preferred to not stop if at all possible.
And as I pass every kind of fishery, processing plant, and power plant I think two things.
The first is that I’m sure having an itch to play Satisfactory when I get back.
And the opther is that I sure hope the damn párk actually exists and Google Maps didn’t lie to me.

Thankfully it didn’t. It was worth every minute of the walk. It’s very peaceful (aside from the minor murmur of a nearby factory) and pretty, and because it’s so far away in the middle of nowhere the gras was nopticeably undisturbed.
I was also thirsty as fuck and the park itself didn’t have any vending machines. Maybe there was one close by, but I didn’t know and I didn’t feel like risking going too far away and wasting more energy so I dry swallowed (I’m being dramatic, I was slightly thirsty, not dry) and decided to take some photos.

First was more Halloumi.

Then she fell because of the wind. But the slight adjustments of her pose proved to be beneficial.

This is the point where I noticed a little bit of her left eye (right from viewer side) was smudged. It’s not urgent and only noticeable when you zoom in really hard, but I should start looking into how to fix that or who can fix that.

I was alone too, so hey, why not take the chance for some spicier photos.
Then came Cherry and…

As you can tell, I’ve tried poses with slightly more extreme angling. Poses where the vertical line down is clear, but where that lines comes from is different.
But something about Cherry today made something in my brain loudly click and I didn’t realize why until later.
I changed her chest piece to a bigger one because her older piece was a bit sticky when I checked it before the trip (in which case a bit of baby powder and time fixes it) and something just… clicked about this size. I wouldn’t give Halloumi a bigger size, but Cherry in this size feels more right to me, basically.
The actual clicking though is because I realized that the way the bikini looked on her reminded me of all the Yuu Tano photobooks I study for poses.

And then a last, spicier one, for fun.
At this point the thirst and exhaustion is finally kicking my ass so I pack my things and start heading back. And wouldn’t you know it, as I’m heading back a small group of people is coming in so I wouldn’t have had the privacy for much longer anyways.
I was starting to dread how long I’d go with no water when the nearby factory had vending machine in its parking lot so I went in blindly and chugged down a whole bottle of water in less than a minute. I also packed one just in case.
So hydrated but tired I decide to go into range of the taxi app and I feel something in my shoes, like when you get a branch stuck in your sole and considering where I’d been, I assumed it was just that.
But no amount of walking makes it leave so I look down and the vaguely greenish fiber turned out be nylon.
Intrigued, I sit to check what’s going on and…

I had a tangle of fish hooks and fish lines that got into my shoe. Most of it I was able to throw into a bin, but there were two barbed hooks I couldn’t get rid of because, predictably, the barbed side latched when you tried to pull it out and trying to get it unstuck the other way was blocked by the nylon bit.
So for the time being I aqueezed the nylon between my shoelaces so it didn’t get in the way and went to call a cab.
One Fast Travel sequence later I’m in the hotel.
I swear to God, man. The ONE TIME I don’t pack my multitool inside the backpack…
Anyway, I’m sore, slightly burned, but the exercise had me energized so I made a quick run through the Shigeru Mizuki Road to collect a few stamps and then went to restock so I had things to eat when I woke up.
I don’t have pictures of that since I was taking it easy, so instead here’s the mandatory before and after for Halloumi and Cherry. Comparing them in 2022 vs today.

With that I’ve officially done the bare minimum of every trip: The Local Thing To Do, taking cool photos with the girls, and doing something ill-advised but memorable while walking somewhere.
Dunno what I’ll do tomorrow, but at the very least I could do nothing and still be satisfied.
