Today’s deck is the Once Upon A Time Tarot.
The backs of this one are that extra bit frustrating because the patterns was already symmetrical and they had to add different images into the circles.
Like, I get it, it’s the four suits, but come on.
It did make me think about something interesting though. The World traditionally has in each of its corners: An Angel, a Lion, a Bull, and an Eagle. These represent the four evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, respectively). But a more modern take should have the four suits of cards to convey the fact that it’s the final totality of EVERYTHING including the deck itself.
ANYWAY… Today’s reading talks about being assured that the choices I’ve made are the right ones and I should keep pushing ahead.
Every Sakura season I face the same FOMO of things going away, and every year I need to learn to pace myself and remember that they last at least two weeks after they start blooming.
Which is kinda fitting given the imagery that Sakura trees represent, now that I think about it.
I still remember how… euphoric I was in 2021 and 2022… I also remember the PAIN in my feet in the aftermath.
That said the weather today was great, so great that I decided to go out!
…then I remembered it’s fucking Sunday and going out is a nightmare so I instead decided to do laundry and I ended up with my brain clicking into Chores Mode.
A particular highlight this time around is that… so I have these closet organizers that I stopped using but also couldn’t easily dispose of because of Japanese trash management STUFF, right? They’re plastic but have metal rods.
I decided to basically use a camping knife to take out the metal rods and then I put the plastic part in a trash bag.
All in all a very productive day. I even finished a new profile for one of the girls, Sumire in this case. And I even updated the “March over the years” slideshow.
Got a couple of plans tomorrow, but we’ll see how things pan out.
