Today’s deck is the African American Tarot.

I’m neither United Statesian nor African (though being Latin American means the chance of having African ancestors is squarely non-zero) but I do find it interesting that it’s “African American” instead of just “African”.

Deck’s cool though, very functional.

Today’s reading warns of some imbalance getting in the way of prosperity and… yeah it’s called my bank being a bitch.

I’m gonna be honest, I pushed myself out of bed because I still had in mind filling the bookshelf.

Well, by “pushing out” I mean I slept only 6 hours instead of 8.

I’m glad to report, however, that the mission was a success!

It was the EXACT amount for the artbooks of this size, even having just enough leeway for future purchases and the top tier was the exact size for all the weird books bound horizontally for some reason.

With this done, the next step is going to be the slightly smaller books, which will involve a LOT of doujinshi. I already have my eyes on which shelf to buy for that, but I’m holding off until I sort some things a bit more, mainly so I can decide WHERE to put it.

Progress is being made dang it, even the in-between parts are getting smoother.

I’ve been feeling a bit less groggy on the whole today so I figured I should finally do laundry… and then the washing machine was full before I got to the clothes from the trip so oops.

One element I’ve tried to keep in mind is that even if I’ve been feeling all groggy and lazy, I’ve still done a lot of stuff. Hell, the one thing I did before filling the bookshelf was answer some accountant questions.

Which leads to the question: Why do I relatively feel like I’ve done nothing? Is getting out of the house tied to that maybe?

That’s definitely an ongoing question to consider.

The rest of the day was spent chatting with friends and checking some doll clothing websites. A bunch of them have swimsuits in clearance because summer ended and I’m stocking up for next year.

I still intend to sneak at least one or two outings to the beach this month, hopefully next week. Summer doesn’t end until I have to put on a coat.
