I’m gonna be honest, today’s reading escaped me.
I switched to a regular Waite-Smith deck while I refreshed my still-rusty tarot skill and while doing the initial shuffling two cards popped aside.
But even after I did the regular spread, they just… didn’t speak to me. I could force a reading but they just didn’t evoke anything initially like they usually do.
It’s probably because between yesterday and today I’ve rushed the reading, taking a pic to check later rather than give the cards some of my time.
I’m a firm believer that if you’re gonna get into something you should respect the bits and pieces that it entails. I name all of my dolls and give them personalities and my photography has become all the stronger from that, so it stands to reason that being so disrespectful to the reading means the cards will refuse to talk to me.
Anyway…
Today’s plan was simple: meet up with E and K and hang out.
I woke up a tad exhausted because of all the time spent last night with an upset stomach but I got a good amount of sleep at least.
The Warhammer preorders of today didn’t have anything that caught my eye too hard though.
We met up in front of Bic Camera Namba and went to eat Yakiniku immediately after. Turns out that Ajiyoshi had an autograph that I assume to be Tetsuya Naito’s.
After that I took them to Douguyasuji, where they bought sakazuki cups they wanted. While they bought them I went to a nearby Don Quijote for a restroom, and for some reason, in the process I remembered I wanted to try wood carving and bought a kit on Amazon while I waited for their purchase.
We explored a bit of Nipponbashi and E asked me for retro computer shops, and honestly, I’m curious enough about the topic that I wonder where there are, if there are any.
In Nipponbashi, E was excited about the Amateur Radio shop and I gotta admit it piqued my curiosity too. Then we went to Kotobukiya and Azone. After that we hung out on a shisha bar until around 8pm.
I’ve been thinking about getting a Fujifilm camera as a second body and taking with E about it it’s making the itch stronger gotta say…
In the meantime, as per her suggestion, I got an adapter that should allow me to try out old lenses with my camera.
