Seek and (don’t) destroy

Today’s deck is the Crybaby Tarot.

It’s FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFine.

Today’s reading feels like it’s pointing attention to that specific clash of wanting to do something but not having the skills yet to properly do so.

As usual for a Friday, I woke up going directly to Japanese lesson, and then I had my chiroprator appointment.

Had another rookie, this one wasn’t as bas as the last one but I’m lowkey annoyed that I’ve been stuck with those.

The real novelty came up after I go back. The Lost In Cult peeps (or rather the singulat peep writing it) had asked me if I had a specific build of the game, that being the one we showed at events before release.

In digging up for things I actually found something better: A different build that was only shown in a single event. So single-use that it wasn’t even a full build but a project file.

There’s extra context behind it, but I’ll let the book talk about that. It was definitely the odd case where being exposed to the psychic damage of pre-2021 me was worth the pain.

Speaking of books, I decided to peruse my gravure photobooks for ideas before my next trip and I ended up sorting one of the bookshelves in the process. While checking the books I finally paid attention to one called “history of bad games” or whatever and I noticed that they had featured Suikoden 4 and Saga Frontier on the back.

Now, this is already a red flag normally, but I decided to give it a chance because for all I know it might make good points and-

Nope, into the selling box it goes.

Maybe if it was from like 10 years ago I would’ve handwaved it as a period piece, but this is the most late 2000s-written book of 2023.

Afterwards I did check the photobooks and funnily enough got kinda sleepy. There’s something unironically relaxing about gravure to me, but I’ll talk about it at some other point.
