Serendipitous day

Today’s deck is the Midnight City Tarot.

Midnight City is what you call a bad campaign of Cyberpunk It says it’s based on “The city that never sleeps”. I’m gonna assume it’s New Yahk with contextual clues because the city that never sleeps sounds more like Vegas and it’s not a casino deck.

Wait Vegas is the city of sin wasn’t it?

I still haven’t found a Vegas-themed deck oddly enough…

Today’s reading elaborates on the trend lately about overthinking, pointing out how it might be getting in the way of things.

Woke up to news of a death in the family that… to say it was a bummer would be an understatement. But I had plans to go out with a friend today so I just decided to push that aside mentally for now.

I picked up the new glasses on the way to the meeting spot and then we got some gyukatsu. It’s the Unagikatsu spot but we got regular beef.

From there we went to Karaoke and it was mad fun to just sing songs together.

Then we went to a bar. I actually met the guy that put the Dekaranger paper strip and I’m SHOCKED he didn’t know what Jetman was.

Highlights of Cultural Exchange include me explaining how in Venezuela we have three shirt colors depending on which education level you are (White for elementary, Blue for middle, and Beige for High School), and also the fact that the government or whoever was in charge of things thought that giving girls pants instead of skirts would reduce the cases of teenage pregnancy. Spoilers: It did not.

When I came back I felt the grief come back to me all at once like a truck. That’s fine, I’ve learned the hard way that you should NOT repress emotions.

I’m just happy that I’m going through it at the end of a very happy day instead of stewing on it all day long.
