Today’s deck is the Murder of Crows Tarot.

It has a Vibe, that’s for sure.
Today’s reading is reflecting that the time to lament things is over and things are finally gonna turn around.
I did see that they sent me my debit card, marking the first time I’ve had access to online transactions comfortably SINCE MOTHERFUCKING MAY so…

YA BOY SLEPT LIKE 12 HOURS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
In fact, I woke up in that sort of “enough sleep let’s start moving” mood. So before long I was out the door and on my way to… do something…?
Do what exactly?
I figured I’d figure out what to do by the time I made it to the station and I was of a mind to go to a bar and be social for a bit. Start the party technically early and stuff.
By the time I made it to the station I actually figured out what I wanted to do… so I headed back. I wanted to sort things around the house for a bit, maybe buy some groceries also on the way.
The day involved a lot of boxing. Not the Rocky kind, mind you, I was instead putting things in boxes to send to Mandarake later. Plus a few filled with stuff I’m gonna send to my family later.
I had a bunch of boxes from other deliveries that came handy for the task, especially for books. Books are so heavy that it’s better to put them across a bunch of different smaller boxes instead of suffering with one big box that weights unironically like 50kg.

In one of the lulls between doing that I decided to look up some drone stuff. Regulations and such.
The first interesting bit I found was that apparently the newer drones (or “unmanned Aircrafts above 100g”) come with a function that lets them be identified remotely, apparently before 2022 or so you had to that manually?
The rest are common sense things.
“Keep away by at least 30m from water, ground, or private property”: That shit has rotor blades, that’s just a good idea in general.
“Keep them in line of sight”: Notably not like you have to be able to see it (see the 30m rule) but don’t put it say… behind a building. Which is just good praxis because I don’t know how well I trust the signal on the whole let alone with blockages in between.
“Don’t hang things from it” “don’t drop things from it”: No shit. Worth pointing out ’cause people are dumb but no shit.
“Don’t fly it at night”: I flew mine at dusk and it was hell when a small piece dropped onto the ground. Not to mention that not all the cameras are gonna have a good image at night.
“Don’t fly near crowds or events”: Another “No duh but good to point out” bit, but also, again, big rotors.

Then there’s the rule that if you’re in an area where planes fly, to keep the drone below 150m and while horizontally 150m is basically a block or two, vertically it’s a wild thing.
A 30 story building, who is gonna be on average 10-15 floors too high for what a regular building normally is, barely breaks 100m.
Abeno Harukas, the tallest building (not structure, building) in Japan is around 300m and it’s squarely in the territory of “unnecessarily big”.
As N put it, 150m is “three Ultramen stacked on top of each other”.
It’s a really interesting perspective on things.
I also tried some diamond plate whetstones I got ages ago and I realized that my problem was that I kept doing a thing where I, say… give one side 20 passes, and then turn around and give 20 passes on the other side too. Meaning I was effectively just chipping the material of the knife over and over again without actually sharpening anything.

At least the rest of the technique was fine…
