So I decided to try something different for today: A big reading for the start of the month.

Let me guide you on the current iteration of this spread:

The start of the month is an opportunity to run mental inventory of what must be done, the middle of the month has portents of needing to make a rough choice, and the end of the month shows an outburst of creativity that will have to be defended from other things in life trying to eat its time way.

In the short-term there’s an exhaustion related to not feeling supported with creative endeavors. In the middle term there will be a struggle with needing to be diplomatic (or for that matter with why I might not be), and in the long term there will be a struggle to set priorities AND defend those choices.

All in all, the month will be marked by a wish to chase my own romantic (not as in love specifically) ideals while the weight of balancing priorities hits me.

I’m gonna be honest, I was thinking maybe I should keep notes somewhere about this to keep them in mind while the month goes along, but it sounds about right with what I was already feeling.

Today’s schedule was simple: I had a meeting at 11 and then after that I figured we could go out and check some camera shops in Kobe.

In between appointments I did upload the next one from the backlog though:

I also added a word at the start of each title to indicate what of the many things I’ve been uploading into that channel each video is.

I sent my family a Google drive with all the videos processed so far (the ones from when I dumped the camera’s memory but before I found “New Folder (8)”) and my mom tells me she’s gonna watch them all on the TV.

Meeting went fine, after killing time we headed to Kobe via Shinkansen. It’s that season where there’s zero reserved seats but we found a couple no problem. It helps that it’s like 12 minutes away anyways.

One subway later we were in Sannomiya and we stopped for a bit of KFC before we continued.

We walked around a chunk of Sannomiya I hadn’t seen before which was very cool. There was also a sorta kinda minor “In don’t trust google maps” moment on the way.

We played it safe and returned KINDA early without exerting ourselves too hard.

Oh also, I finally looked up why the Kobe shops have Spiderman as an indicator specifically, and APPARENTLY it’s because the white web pattern on top opf the red chunks of his suit look like the wagyu’s marbled pattern.

I don’t know how true it is, I’m still looking for corroboration, but I can believe it.
