The Drawer of Snug Fits

Today’s deck is the Back to the Future Tarot.

It’s common Licensed Deck affair. “Hey do you remember this”, themed minor arcana, and so forth. Though I’d put it higher on the echelon of usability, I think.

Today’s reading is advising to not be too stubborn with others which, being the petty bitch I am, is a welcome reminder.

Today’s one of those days where I wake up fighting the urge to scream. I overslept so I wouldn’t be making it in time to look for a paper I need for my visa, I still had my trip prep ahead of me, and I had one (1) appointment later in the day.

I knew rationally that I was gonna have time for everything but I still had tofight that very specific tinge of anguish that rises to your throat when things loom over you like that.

After some deep breaths I decided to do something completely untrelated to anything in the trip to clear my head, so I went to buy some drawers. I honestly need more of them and it was to go on the spot where the Mossy Bookselves were so I wanted to avoid covering that window again.

I return home and oh my god it’s a literal perfect fit, a snug fit, this makes me irrationally happy holy cow.

This drawer is gonna be for what I call “Evergreen doll clothing”, the stuff that I like having around regarless of season, like underwear and socks.

The walk also cleared my head enough to go mentally on what I needed to do. I was still fighting back that scream but I was focused dang it.

I had psychiatrist in a couple of hours so I went to Yodobashi to buy a couple small things for the trip, cases to carry things and such.

I went to the clinic and there was very few people today so I got in and then out early which was nice. LKike, half an hour earlier at the very least.

Back home I wrapped Aurora and Asagi on a towel as I do when I pack the girls. I picked a couple of outfits and set them aside to put in the luggage later. Now on top of all the other stuff I was fighting the choice paralysis of “what if I also bring this other girl though?”.

I left all devices charging across the house and headed to sleep.

There’s one last detail, though.

One of the things I bought at Yodobashi was a pack of four Air Tags, mainly because I was curiopus about them and such… and then I misplaced the box and couldn’t find it in a timely manner.

The irony of it all is the only thing not lost on me.
