Today’s deck is Tarot The Green Codex.

I’ve used a fair amount of these forest-y ones back to back lately and today I was wondering about how their forests all feel so… similar.
Now, keep in mind that even if I wanted to be a botanist when I was like 10 my knowledge is a tad rusty, but dunno, they all feel like the same European-style forest somehow. I wonder if I’ll notice the moment a deck uses a different kind of forest.
Today’s reading seemed at a glance to be about relationships, but the traditional 7 of swords and Page of swords would look at each other in this configuration which made me think it was instead a relationship between those two meanings.
In short, today’s cards are recommending a matrimony of getting away with something and wanting to learn something: AKA “It’s fine to indulge in that thing you wanted to do for a while”. Which, incidentally, I did.

Simple plans today: Go to Nipponbashi to get doll clothes, then go back and test the new drone.
The Nipponbashi bit went smoothly and I even found the exact shoes I needed (I knew they probably released the dress Luna’s wearing as part of a set and such). I also stopped by the Dolk shop where the clerk directly recommended me some outfit which was nice.
I then came back and chilled for a bit before going back out again to test the drone.
So for context, this drone model has a tracking mode you can use out of the box with no extras, but it also has an app where your phone connects with it via wifi like a remote.
Also, it came with a sample of the thing the wings are made out of literally going “go ahead, bend it or try to break it, we dare you”.
Back to the drone, I went to the Yodo river by Mikuni since that’s one of the closest open spaces I have and gave it a try which… it’s easier if you see the result.
The stiff movement is the result of two things: One is the fact that there were many puddles around and I was both worried it might fall on one or I might fall on one.
The other is that… and perhaps I’m too much of a Gamer, but the buttons in the app were that: buttons, I kept trying to move things like they were joysticks but it didn’t read like that.
Also there’s this ever so small lag that I’m sure I can get used to but in the moment was the equivalent of the people that are just learning to use a car and get startled by the gas pedal making the car sputter forwards.

Also also, yes: app. It might not be the best and I’m not gonna trust the range of a phone’s built in wifi but god Damn the mere idea of such a small flying thing you can control with a phone is nuts.
I still looked up if there were any proper controllers for it (and there are) but still nuts nonetheless.
On the way back, I will admit I got a bit too wanderlust-y. Specifically I was doing a DQ Walk main quest where I needed to collect random stuff scattered through the map.
How wanderlust-y you ask?

“Why am I tired?” Laments Fer as his podometer indicates an average of 16666 steps in the last 7 days.
