There’s no escape from the horses

Today’s deck is the Travel Tarot.

Another one with the theme of landscapes as cards. This one actually has REAL landscapes and shows their location. Well, real landscapes are being depicted, it’s still drawings.

Today’s reading… yet again about thing I cannot talk about just yet.

Huh…

I had singing lessons today, so I decided it was a day for taking it easy and going out later.

In the meantime I continued the process of dressing up The Girls, with Luna and Sol joining the roster.

I also did a lot of cleaning and I figured I should throw away the bean cushion that was… honestly not used and was just taking up space. I figured I would empty it from its filling and that way I can put it with the rest of the regular trash.

So uh… at some point the inner membrane thingy punctured and it got messy.

I was successful in bagging things in the end, but I’ll be finding styrofoam pellets all over the place for a while.

Oh well.

I went out to the singing school, but I took Akane with me again. There’s a bar I’ve wanted to check called Element L that’s a doll bar and I wanted to check it out.

Singing went well! I had the pleasure of explaining how important R sounds are in Spanish since it’s the difference between Caro (expensive) and Carro (car) and it’s relevant because I tend to either default to Spanish’s strong Rs or overshoot in how much I flatten them which makes diction trickier.

My teacher also asked me, after reading the lyrics, why I chose Mike Oldfield’s Nuclear of all things. I told her that last year was A Year and I sang it a lot to blow off some stress.

It was a fun session!

Afterwards I met up with E at Bic Camera and we went to Element L. To my surprise it’s in the same building as the Gunpla Bar we went to last year.

Element L was fun. The ambiance is cozy and there’s just the comfort that comes from being in a place where you knoe everyone’s deal is the same.

A curious thing is that they have a lot of flavor syrups in the counter and turns out that it’s actually odd for the bar to have as many alcohol-drinking customers as they had that night.

I also took these pics of Akane and they bring a tear to my eye she looks SO good.

It’s definitely one for the March Over The Years section of the Doll Corner.

I’m 100% going back to Element L later.

From there we moved to Evil… except we had to get food first.

And oh right it’s rush hour, everything’s packed.

We ended up hitting Seven Eleven. E had some chicken and I had the onigiri that has egg on it and OH MY GOD how have I lived this long not knowing how good this was.

While chilling around I brought up that it was odd to me how there’s been at least two ocurrances of asking if E was my girlfriend. Not on the principle itself since I feel like that’s the default assumption, more that… there’s really nothing in the body language that conveys that, I think.

ANYWAY we went to Evil and there was already some people there, one of them I swear to God I saw when V visited in October but it would’ve been Weird to point out.

It was a chill night, there was a funny ocurrence where I was like “ok, one more drink and I’m out” and then after that was done the bartender asked if we wanted to try an original cocktail she’s been working on.

We returned and we had the one cab in the area without a GPS of any kind (not even a stand with a phone). So I just gave the station as the address and THEN we took a second cab.

Nice day overall, I appreciate not being completely destroyed by the end of it.
