Today’s deck is the Gummy Bear Tarot.
Feels legitimately amazing to shuffle and it’s cute BUT THEN they had to go and slap the copyright notice on the back of the card, turning it asymmetrical.
Today’s reading talked about an imbalance of responsabilities leading to changes.
Lots to think about.
The day started at like almost 1am.
I had to pack up for the Tokyo trip and I was choosing which girl to bring with me, which I took as a chance to cycle through the doll’s clothes. Basically pushing aside the opther seasons’ clothes to focus on Fall.
There was a fun moment while doing that where I came across an outfit that I explicitly remember setting side when summer started while thinking “aw man, no chance to use this one”. And now the chance is back.
Definitely worth remembering to calm down the summer’s end FOMO.
The day didn’t have much novelty beyond this on the home side. Though I did get a Buck knife and then started laughing at the included note from the CEO that starts with “as my father Chuck Buck used to say…”
I was originally planning on tavelling a bit lighter but M couldn’t go because of a family situation and without someone tagging along I tend to be waaaaay briefer in my event goings, so I decided to bring two girls with me instead of one.
Weather tends to be Not Good at around this time of year in Tokyo but hey, worth trying if nothing else.
Once in the Shinkansen station I decided to buy a bento just in case I got too hungry on the road. It was a “Naniwa Specialties” bento or something. Basically Naniwa is the area where Dotonbori, and by extension a lot of restaurants, are.
To my right there was a couple, and man you could TELL that the girl was so into the guy. It wasn’t even any specific overt gesture, but just the way she constantly leaned towards him, how she ate her bento making sure to look at him.
So jealous…
They got out at Shin Yokohama, which gave me impression that they were on a vacation or something.
The shinkansen trip flew by for me because I was in that one state where I was unconscious but never went fully into deep sleep, so I at once didn’t feel rested while the two and a half hours of travel flew by quickly.
I got to my hotel and I remembered this one, but
I can’t remember WHY I got a room last time. I do remember it was at least 2021 because it was in that period where you needed a document corroborating that you got vaccinated, and they were thinking how to turn me down until they realized I lived here.
I got to my room and into bed and usually that’s where the story would end, but not this time.
I got a lot of acid reflux, and after considering if I had the energy to get up and do something about it, I dragged my sleepy ass out of bed to find tan soda… and no luck.
In fact, not only did the vending machines near the hotel not have it to the point I ended up near a convenience store anyways, but also THE CONVENIENCE STORE DIDN’T HAVE ANY EITHER.
I did find some medicine and I got a bunch of other things while at it but man. Of all the things in my bingo card “absence of Tan Soda” sure wasn’t one.
