Today’s deck is the Thoth Tarot.

Took me a while to get to this one for some reason. I think what happened was that thing where you have a drawer and the older things end up at the bottom, and because you keep putting new things on top you don’t get to the older ones.
Today’s reading feels like it echoes the same feelings I had yesterday of being left out of the fun parts by doing busywork.

The day woke up suuuuuuuuuuuper rainy. So much so that I decided to move the one appontment I had today.
Basically I’ve been meaning to have the one-year checkup for my hair transplant and it’s the third time or so that I’ve rescheduled it.
Oh well…

Yesterday I was talking about how it dawned on me how long I’ve spent without just… playing a game for hours on end a few days in a row for fun, and today I got a different reminder of that.
I finally set time aside to play Helldivers 2 with E and as soon as I logged in the game started bombarding me with notifications like “Order complete! 370 days ago!” and so on and so forth forth for a WHILE. I was checking what was new in the upgrades and I kept getting notifications and items the moment I got out of the shop windows.
I’m not complaining though, in fact, it’s cool that the game is basically like “well, we know you started playing before this global event, we’re gonna keep tabs on which events you didn’t log in for”
But also, 370+ days since I had any time to play games with the homies, fuck me.
It’s not just games, last year I preordered a bunch of tickets for doll events to peddle my photobook and I’ve had to skip on the events because I just haven’t had time…

The time of it all does check out though.
I’ve talked in the past about the moment I decided last year to make monthly trips to unwind, that was in the aftermath of really getting busy with sorting a bunch of company matters.
I’ve made more progress in that year alone than in the last 5 years or so in getting things done, but I’ve been proportionally as busy as a result.
There’s also a “second wave” of sorts that started last December when every bank and accountant asked me for papers at the same time and I had to take one month off because my brain just fried itself trying to cope with it all.
Things are improving but fuck me man, I’m tired.

At least I got a burger. It was simple with the novelty of the patty having fried onions in it but I heckdived with the homies and got a burger, that’s not a bad day by any metric.
