Only while posting this do I realize that with that back design I could’ve done the funniest shit ever when positioning the deck in the mat. Alas…
I love me a good stroll and the idea of landscapes for a deck is interesting except they kinda push how to indicate which card is which, which shows the limitations of the idea unless you do illustrations or go for a collage approach
Today’s reading speaks of a conflict avoided thanks to dilligence and responsability. I know what it’s talking about and what “dilligence” and “responsability” entails, but I’ll keep it to myself since it’s a bit of a personal thing.
Something nice is actually happening on the work front for a change.
Remember me talking about how my landlady told me of a new unit that just freed up? I just signed the papers for it. So we officially have a new office.
I think I’ve talked about this before, but when I moved in I actually lived at my office… or rather, my apartment was registered as my office. When I moved out I kept the office because having that address separate was convenient and uh… now there’s a change in business visa stuff that requires business address to be separate from home address so that was good foresight.
My old office was already a mess because I moved out in mid-2020 and that should be enough indication of why things bad, but also I was already in a very tough spot mentally before then so that place had… way too much emotional baggage.
The new office is in the same building, at the same price (TECHNICALLY more expensive but that was a change that was coming even to my old place), with the same size but… dunno, the 11th floor feels less shady? Maybe it’s just me remembering the guy that died and started rotting in his apartment during the pandemic, or how the day I move in the neighboring room to mine was being emptied in a very “someone died” way and basically was sealed with a padlock until recently.
I definitely look forward to fully moving all the Work Stuff out of the house so I can have a proper mental separation of duties.
I did actually move some things already. As aluded to via joke earlier I moved my tax papers from my shoes locker so now the shoes locker can have, y’know, shoes.
Now I gotta call the phone company so they move my phone number… but I’ll deal with that later.
