Today’s deck is the Taort of the Abyss.

Despite the ominous name, it’s mainly an ink-drawn tarot with a lot of cross hatcheting that’s REALLY good.
Today’s reading has portents of getting hurt from accelerated growth of… hmm…
The Knight of Cups represents rushing ahead with an idea, more specifically when that’s fueled by emotions of the uh… watery kind (whole different topic, don’t worry about it). Basically it’s telling me to not be hasty about pursuing emotions.
Cannot think of much context for it recently specifically, but definitely worth keeping in mind.

Natsu no Sakari did release and I’ll talk about it later, but the funny thing is that what took up my sleep last time wasn’t it, it was me being on call (not a literal call, more like, on the ready) while a friend was solving a moving situation just in case she needed anything.
I woke up later from a very weird dream. My dick was stuck in… it was like one of those potato slicers that you push down on the potato but it was only three vertical blades. So I pushed it outwards and when it went all the way I realized I had a penis sliced in three (despite having three blades, it’s a dream, don’t think too hard about it).
Interestingly, I wasn’t feeling horror of supposed pain, it was more… shame, kinda like “oh no I’m so stupid why did I do that?”.
Then I woke up and as I woke up slightly I remember thinking “Man, how am I gonna explain to my family that I… I… what did I do that I need to explain?”.
Dreams scare me in the sense that I’m afraid of one day not fully waking up despite being awake and being nonethewiser because my brain is in dream mode. The way dreams can leave you with so many emotions that you completely forget after waking up also gives me pause for thought.
And yeah, dream not nightmare, I didn’t wake up agitated it was just a weird dream.

I got the new microphone and like a kid with a new toy I rushed to Karaoke so it aligned right before Japanese lessons.

First thing first, not only does the karaoke station have the plugs for microphones (two, even), it even has an USB and HDMI port that I’m sure has its uses.
I cannot begin to express how giddy I was when I noticed the sheer RANGE and quality I now had at my disposal, but I’m me so of course I had to have a really weird snag the first time around.

You see, in my excitement, I didn’t check the cables or notice they had a zip tie, and with no way to cut them at hand I ended up pushing it around to kinda lengthen the cable a bit.
I also got an extension “just in case” which also had a zip tie, so I was trying to sing with TWO such cursed loops.
The results tho?
You tell me.
The way I sing itself CHANGES because, you see, I’m actually singing instead of screaming. In fact, I had to remind myself that I wasn’t using the weird karaoke microphones and could do things properly at least twice.
Can’t wait for next time, when I’m not being held back by my eternal nemesis.
The meaning of the title, by the way, is related to a childhood memory. If you tie a zip tie the other way around (“backwards” as it were), you’re able toopen it and close it because it doesn’t lock.
When I was 4 years or so I was so amused by this that I started playing with a zip tie, then put it around my tongue and closed it not realizing it was the right way and… yeah, my uncle had to come with scissors or something to free me up.
Yes, I’ve always been this way, thank you for noticing.

After some practice I went to Japanese lesson and it flew by nicely, then I headed back home where I hoped to start writing about what makes Natsu no Sakari so good but I fell asleep for a nap.
So much for a normal sleep schedule, I guess.
I’ll leave that for tomorrow to have this post on time before midnight. I joked that the wordpress app going “Congrats! You’re on an X days streak!” is hell on my mental health but good for getting things done, but jokes aside it’s a nice limit to myself to get things done without getting TOO long winded, or more than necessary at the very least.
